Bag had a 4" cut from a box cutter knife across the middle, tobacco was spilling out. Luckily most of it was still inside. Was dry as expected (rehydrated without a problem) but still a decent quality smoke, with good complexity without being harsh. I'll use this in a base blend for RYO

Flavorful awesome!

I've used this tobacco with menthol tubes to make cigarettes in my rolling machine for many years. It makes a cigarette similar to "Kool" cigarettes.

Perfect to cut my Virginia Blend and give it a bit more strength and flavor.

Nice mild cool smoking blend. I use it for hand rolling and find it packs well and burns evenly. If you're looking for quality you found it. I will definitely order again.

My vote goes to d&r vengeur in this match up. Good smoke and the wife’s favorite. I smoked both and agree. We smoked about half the Kentucky select then gave it away. It wasn’t bad just had a different aftertaste than I like. It just felt dirtier after a few. The wife and I are former light smokers. We put our tobacco in light tubes. Ironically my coworkers favorite is KS he prefers it so I gave him the half bag that was left. He says it’s his favorite.(he is a full flavor former red smoker) the wife and I prefer ours in light tubes.

I'd never heard of this brand before, but it's very much as advertised: Smooth, mild and an overall good smoke. I'll be ordering it again.

It's cheap and very good

I smoke this regularly and enjoy it a great deal. It is a full-flavor tobacco and I highly recommend it.

This is a really fine tasting roll your own as i havent gotten it in my cob pipe yet. Nicotine is a little low to use as a money saver but mixed with something high in nicotine itll replace a big brand easy. It leaves a good taste but based on my love picayune i rolled 20 smokes 50/50 blend for a wonderful camel replacement or Marlborough replacement. Im guessing this will be a smoke from wake til sleep in a pipe because it is so nice. The silver i had a couple ounces with a bunch dr blends and it was gone before i knew it.has a bit more nicotone i think and definitely had a Marlborough light quality but with a better after taste. Ive never smoked through anything quite as fast as the silver. The regualr vengeur is a bit more grassy tasting and i think i like it better, but too soon to say for sure. Picayune is still my favorite smoke that exists and the new dr bags have a nicer quality bag thats less prone to breaking at the seal. Two timer blends well with these as well. Room note was pleasant without any overwhelming cigarette type smells just sweet mellow pipe tobacco smell. I would recomend as a regular room refresher if you dont want a smokey whats that smell like a lot of tobaccos can leave in a room.

Have tried many different bagged tobacco's. This comes close to several full flavor popular cigarette blends. Use for RYO and has a good flavor and moderate throat hit. Makes a decent smoke affordable. Stuffs easily with my crank TOM machine. Try it if you ryo!

Make no mistake, this is perfect as RYO tobacco. It's got a sweet pure tobacco vibe..Might be a good blending base for pipes too, but on it's own it's probably not what most pipers are looking for.

it smokes hot and has a bite would not buy again

This is now my main tobacco. I like it plain, which is high praise for a tobacco that comes by the pound, but I also like to blend it with Pirate Kake or Mind Meld Latakia for an out of this world cigarette that is so good it should be illegal!

I was looking for something a bit different and this tobacco fits the bill. The cut was something I didn't like at first, but it grew on me. Otherwise, the tobacco has a great dark tobacco taste - not too sweet but not not sweet... Perfect for me, since I'm actually injecting this into cigarette tubes. That was why I didn't like the cut, but as I began injecting my cigarette tubes every morning, I noticed that the cut is perfect and I haven't busted a single tube with this tobacco. That is very rare praise.

Do you have shag cut pipe tobacco besides flake cut tobacco? This too dry and like cigarette tobacco.

Superior tobacco product. Smooth. None of our local stores carry Kentucky Select, so we order online. Whenever we run out early, and we are forced to buy a different brand at the local shop, it ends up in the trash when our order of Kentucky Select arrives in the mail. From now on we'll pay extra to get it shipped overnight. Better than throwing our $$$ in the garbage.

More flavorful and complex than the usual "bargain" tobaccos, this one is a new favorite :-)
