This is a great tobacco. It’s a little fruity and grassy. I know a weird combo for a A aromatic. I enjoy it best in the morn with a cup of coffee. Texas pecan coffee.

The best way to describe this tobacco is "Characterless." The taste is so mild that it's almost lacking entirely. I was disappointed that this blend contained the name "Dunhill" in it. It's not "bad," as there is no bad flavor. There just isn't any flavor at all. The Aroma is fantastic. If you are interested in a tobacco strictly for the smell, pick this up. If you're looking for a tasty treat, pass this up for something with a little more flavor. There are plenty of virginia based blends that surpass this in taste.

This is the first time i have smoked this and i really liked it, so i bought some to cellar.

Very easy smoking blend. My definition of a summer blend. Smells nice and no bite!

A delightful mixture: soft on the palate and lightly aromatic. Burns cool with nutty scent. I can smoke consecutive bowls and enjoy the start as much as the finish

Not bad but not great. It was definitely high quality and smoked evenly and cool, but lacked any real flavors or characteristics that left me wanting more.

In my experience it doesn't get much smoother than this. I wish I had grabbed a few tins to store away... I'll bet it sweetens up nicely. No bite, great citrus notes, light and airy. Great summer time bowls with this.

Hansom Flake is very good but extremely dry out of the tin. I would order again but it’s not an all day smoke. Ready Rubbed is one of my favorites. Sorry it’s no longer produced

Very nice flavorful Virginia; easy to pack, burns evenly and cool.

For the price it ticks all the boxes for an all day blend, quite nice.

I actually prefer aromatics with a lot of Black Cavendish in the blend due to their velvety smoke that has great mouth feel. However, I occasionally find a tobacco outside my wheelhouse that turns out to be great and earns a spot in my rotation. I actually only bought this Dunhill because it meant free shipping. The aroma from the freshly opened tin was delightful. So, I loaded up one of my long churchwardens and in an instant fell in love with this blend. Unlike some Virginia's that are harsh, this is pleasant with a sweetness that is light enough to smoke anytime. I actually ordered another tin the same night the first tin arrived which is something I've only done a handful of times.

I'm getting to like this one...after jarred for a few months,I can now SLOWLY cheech on this one,and the Virginias, Orientals,and Burley come together for a Virginia and Oriental sweet,grassy,and bready flavor..not gon lie,at first I thought this one was HARSH and plain,but I wasn't smoking it as it must be slowly smoked in order to get the full effect of this blend...if you are a Virginia tobacco fan, try it..go slooww...and it'll come to you.

Excellent smoke, rolls the edge of one of my go to whiskeys.

Beautiful classic tasting blend.

Apricot and plum wine hit me square in the nose when I first opened the tin. I savored this scent as I knew, like with all Dunhills, it would change rapidly over the course of a week. I also know to reserve judgement until the seal has been broken for at least a week or 2. Fast forward 1 week and the apricot is gone but there is still some plum and the tang of fermented Virginia has started to peak out. The aroma strikes me as similar to royal yacht but much lighter. This tobacco smokes like a delicious sweet Virginia with a touch of woody musty oriental to round it out. When sipped slowly I find myself drifting back and forth blissfully between hints of royal yacht flavor and sweeter VAs with occasional wake up slaps from the sour and deep orientals. Truly a transcendent smoke for me. I appreciate straight VAs, VAPERs, and VABURs, but I think I've found my favorite category... VATUR!

Fine tasting tobacco with a descent room tone!

Not too strong or too weak, just a perfect all day smoke. Very tasty and smooth.

As newbie piper, heavy English blends are a bit much for me. Ready Rubbed however is a perfect mix of aromatic and English. I liked it so much I stocked up on 2 more tins.

Great Spring/Summer smoke for lazing around.

Unlike some Virgina’s this is very smooth and it’s tangy too. Excellent light tobacco. Sorry it soon be unavailable

I was introduced to this fine tobacco about a month ago and it has quickly become my favorite pipe tobacco. It has a mild smooth taste and a low room note which makes for a nice in house smoke. It burns evenly and has a fine white ash. I stocked up with my last order and will order more while it's still available. I would recommend this tobacco if you are looking for a mild everyday smoking tobacco.

Very smooth, excellent tobacco. It packs very well. It lights quickly and stays lit. Nice aroma. Slightly sweet natural taste. A nice companion to have along.

Much milder than I expected. It was very cool and could be an excellent smoke for newer pipe smokers. Nothing not to like. Pleasant room note that did not offend any of the family.

Smoky, earthy and fantastically robust. I guess that's what I am suppose to say, right? Nevertheless, dig this tobacco and then some. Has a wee bit of a punch and does it with a wink and a smile. Yeah, me likey.

Very good smoke mild flavor no harshness

I purchased one tin in an attempt to sample all the Dunhill blends before they're extinct. Yeasty, sweet, and rich. Hints of graham cracker, fig, honey, and malt- all from the tobacco. The topping is actually all but lost on me, which is good because I am pretty picky when it comes to aromatics. No nasty chemicals noticeable in topping or casing. The quality is apparent. It can bite a little if you go crazy on it. If you smoke slow and steady, you will be rewarded with a great smoke- sublime on the retrohale. I gave it 4 stars because the last quarter of the bowl often tastes a bit cigarette ash-like. That being said, I now have a dozen cans in my cellar.

Nice mild smoke. A very good choice for new pipe smokers. Cool on the tongue and easy on the nose. I enjoyed it as a light smoke.

Another winner from dunhill! Nice smooth flavor with a mild fruit like topping,to me like a grassy lemon/orange like note.Add a little burley and Virginia and you have ready rubbed.No bitterness at all,a perfect blend for a summer day.This is another must try dunhill Baccy.Never had a tin from them that ever let me down.

New pipe smoker. I tried two blends from my local tobacco store, Carter Hall, Prince Albert, and EMP. I think this will be my tobacco. I love the taste, no bite, only one I could keep lit consistently, and no after taste. This is the one I will buy again.

Good tobacco, not my favorite, but not bad either. I like a more flavored, aromatic. Got this as part of one of the deals and tried it.

This is a great blend. From the first pipe smoked I enjoyed this and wanted more when done. I just ordered 6 tins to cellar and enjoy. I always suggest to cellar tobacco for 6 months prior to enjoying however the original tin I purchased I smoked immediately and it was great. Enjoy.

I've been a fan of Duhill tins since the 70's. Latikia blends my favorites as well as Comoy's Cask II . This Ready Rubbed is a super smooth change of pace, in a dedicated Savinelli, no filter, it burns true to the last and is never hot or bites. For the Non chemical fans ,this is a must try. Was just about to order some, and then a tin came via the pipe club. Quite good. A very nice ready rubbed VA. I've seen some folks refer to this as a VA/Per - I do not believe that there is ANY Perique in this blend at all. It's not listed, nor do I detect any in the blend. All I detect is bright and brown VA's augmented with a bit of some sort of oriental leaf. The oriental leaf adds a bit of fragrance to the smoke, it doesn't over-power and melds nicely with the sweet VA. It's a great smoke, and one that I will keep on hand forever-more. A great all day smoke. No bite, takes a light well and stays lit without much effort. You can push it a bit, but be mindful, it's a rubbed VA and can get hot on you. Burns to a perfect white/silver ash with little to no dottle remaining. Tin note is that of hay/cut grass and tea - with just a bit of "tang" from the Orientals. I much preferred this over Three Year Mature - I found TYM to be a little bland and unremarkable. I found RR to be nice and singular in it's own right. The tin art is lovely - reminiscent of older tin art. Overall I've been largely unimpressed by most Dunhill tobacco blends - this and two others being standouts. (Durbar and Flake)

A very good, balanced, sun-cured Virginia with little to no bite that smokes rather cool. Those who enjoy none-complicated bowls will indeed enjoy this.

Quality Virginia tobacco with just a touch of Oriental. The tin note was slightly sweet, hay like, or grassy as most Virginias tend to be. Moisture content was typical Dunhill, spot on perfect, and ready for smoking right out of the tin. Packed easily and took light quickly and with little to no fuss. The smoke was pleasurable and smooth and provided a pleasant room note to those around me. Virginias can bite if not smoked slowly, so take your time and enjoy this one. Overall, this is a good Virginia based tobacco, and although not my favorite, it was worth trying. Glad to be a member of the Pipe Tobacco Of The Month Club!

Bought this and EMP at the same time. EMP blew me away but this one? Not so much. I you really like VAs with a hint of "something, something", then this is for you. I only took away one star cause it was so much less dazzling that EMP, which I loved.

This tobacco has a wonderful tin note. The flavoring is subtle, which I enjoy. I will definitely buy this again when I want a good virginia blend.
