Dunhill Aperitif
Awesome, just like nightcap expect it’s more mild.

Would highly recommend.
This is by far my favorite of the Dunhill blends. The addition of the Black Cavendish smoothes out some of the harsher notes of the Latakia and Virginia. Would highly recommend.

Very good!
I love this tobacco, not at first, but after the 2-3 bowl it really grew on me. Try it before dunhill closes shop.

Excellent tobacco; rich and flavorful.
Excellent tobacco; rich and flavorful. One of the best Dunhill tobaccos.

Best when aged a few months
My first impression of this tobacco was, "It's ok, nothing great". I've always said Dunhill is done right , so I wasn't going to fertilize the lawn with the remaining tin or not smoke it. I jarred the rest and set it aside for a couple of months. What a difference! Normally I'm a big 965 fan but I've seen the error of my ways. Apertif has a more subtitle flavor and for me this make it a more contemplative smoke. Stock up while you can, it only gets better with age.

A pleasant introduction
I ordered this after discussing Scottish blends with a fellow pipesmoker. This was a great introduction into a blend quite different than what I usually smoke (bold English blends.) The Cavendish, Latakia, Oriental, and Virginias are well balanced with a delicious taste and aroma. It is also one of the best bowls I've had with regards to staying lit. I popped open my first tin around a campfire and enjoyed a lengthy flavorful smoke. The next day I spent a couple hours in my kayak on a lake with with amazing blend. I highly recommend Apertif to anyone wanting a great tobacco with an excellent flavor without the sometimes overwhelming nature of Latakia.

Good to go
Awesome! ..haven't met a dunhill I didn't like but this is my favorite so far. I'm a fan of strong & heavy smoke. The wife likes the the spicy barking smell

Sweet & smoky.
Sweet, Latakia forward blend perfect for transitioning to heavy night time blends. Cavendish and sweet Virginias take center behind Latakia. Not as earthy as a night time blend. Where Durbar moves the Latakia to the background, Aperitif brings the Latakia forward and remains sweet with a little more spiciness deeper into the bowl. Look for that sweet & spicy leather taste about halfway thru. Very pleasant smoke and deserving of a permanent rotation spot.

great after dinner
Medium body, smooth, latakia not overwhelming. Not big on latakia but this is good tobacco.

Fantastic, just wish they had it in bulk...
Strong English blend with an inquisitive twist. My favorite evening smoke…even replaced my Nightcap. I smoke it out of an English-dedicated Brog Dyktator with 9mm filter. My friends that have tried it all agree that, when paired with a good Scotch or Scotch-blend, it is an amazing taste. My only disappointment is that it's not available in bulk.

A delightful Latakia blend
Apertif may very well be my favorite of the Dunhill latakia blends. I find the mix of elements to deliver the proper proportion of sweet, sour and smoky. I like the use of Cavendish in a lat blend and it does well in this to round out some of the edges. I would highly recommend this for someone new to latakia, but I think it has plenty for the seasoned lat smoker as well in that this could easily be enjoyed all day.

Wow, great stuff!
I really enjoy this Dunhill offering. To me it is a wonderfully light Latakia with a slightly sweet on the palate blend that will definitely be reordered soon. I will be enjoying this after a hard day at work or play. Glad I tried it! Kudos to P&C as well, great pipe smoker's resource!

Heaven in a tin.
Been away from the noble hobby of pipe smoking for 8 months due to surgery. Am allowing myself one pipe a day now. Pipe 7, yesterday, was a newly opened tin of The Aperitif. Simply divine! Lots of good latakkia taste with hints of oriental coming through and the cavendish smoothing it all out. Only regret was that the pipe was done too soon. Now I have to wait until tonight to smoke it again. Sigh!

Just as all Dunhill brand tobacco. Very close to the nightcap blend which I also love

The Best
Despite not being the original blend, this certainly is a great English blend for a person who loves the flavors of a spicy but satisfying smoke!

Love the stank!
Love this stuff! It offends anyone I am around and leaves a lingering stank that can turn the upper lip of even the most olfactory challenged. There is a sweet, spicy, pungent and potent character like Stilton cheese that is just delicious. I keep a deep stash of this as my dirty pleasure smoke for when everyone is out, I can pour myself a large snifter of Grand Marnier, and stank up the porch for an hour.

Nightcap Light without the Perique
Reminds me of nightcap light without the Perique. The blend is good, it just wasn't what I was expecting with the addition of the Cavendish, and I tend to like more Latakia in my English blends. Overall quality of the tobacco was excellent, and the burn characteristics were perfect, leaving a fine white ash at the bottom of the pipe. I have to say that this is a quality smoke and should be enjoyed by any Dunhill fan that likes nightcap, but want to tone it down a bit.

Latika changer
A good Latika blend. While not a huge fan of Latika this blend is finding a place in the later part of my daily rotation.

dunhill the aperitif
This is one of my favorites. A lot like My Mixture 965 but a little less bold. Lighter and a little more on the sweeter side. I smoke this every day. Keep half a dozen tins on deck. I have no intentions of running out. I can't see anyone smoking this blend and not enjoying it.

Good service, good prices
I have ordered a number of times from Pipes and Cigars. Have always been perfectly satisfied. Prices are good, items always in stock. Delivery times good. Products well packaged. Will certainly order in future.
Customer Testimonials
One of my favorites. Always a satisfying smoke, especially at the end of the day!
I love it. I love it. This is now my favorite tobacco. I am not a fan of Latakia, but this has just a delicate hint, enough to offset the sweetness with a little smoke. Great blend.
A Scottish-style mixture because it contains Cavendish, but unlike the heavily cased American style Cavendish, this is English Cavendish which produces a smoothe-as-silk English hybrid mixture that is heavy on the Latakia and wonderful in the early to late evening.
Well it is a Dunhill blend which mean the mix is very delicate and super well balanced. There are no defining flavors here just an English blend with mild taste. The Latakia is present but not overpowering in any way which makes for a pretty smooth smoke that might be lacking in fullness of flavor for a Latakia lover.
