Welcome Factory Throwouts back to P&C!
We used to sell these budget-saving cigars by the caseload, and now they're back with a new option. Some of the sizes are now available with a sweetened cap.
These value-priced gems come from J.C Newman, and feature either an Ecuadorian sun-grown or a candela wrapper in three different sizes. The color might be off a bit, and the presentation is strictly plain-Jane, but they're tasty and satisfying and start at just over a buck apiece. If you want a flavorful way to fill up the empty space in the humidor, look no further.
If these are factory throw outs I'm parking a dumpster at their back door. I've smoked many cigars throughout my life from $20 Dunhill's to some I'd just as soon not recall. I can honestly say the Churchill's I ordered of this brand are now a must have in my humidor. They are the finest under $2 cigar you will find anywhere period. I would go so far as to say you'll have a hard time beating these with $5 or even $10 sticks. Great mild/medium flavor with a nice complexity, even burning for the most part, packaging is definitely plain Jane but who cares? I don;t smoke the cellophane or the nonexistent band anyway. Don't miss these wonderful "something special" cigars.
Im primarily a pipe smoker and my experience with cigars has been with cheap factory made brands. These are the first hand made cigar I have tried and they ruined factory made cigars for me. Great flavor and room note. I highly recommend them for newbies to the cigar world.
I ordered my first bundle of Robustos and tried one as soon as it arrived. It was a mild, sweet, and flavorful smoke and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I will be ordering more in the future. It was the best dollar cigar I ever smoked.
I have purchased Factory Throughouts No. 99 Churchill for about5 years. They have been consistent in flavor and provide a long smoke (1-1 1/4 hours). Once in about 100 cigars, I find a wrapper that will have a minor "peal off", but for the price this is a minor problem. One thing I have found is that the best way to "cut" the tip is not to cut it, but rather to take a metal "poker" and pierce the tip. I use a pipe tool to do this. A nail will work also.
