I love cigars with a backstory, and the Fernando Leon Family Reserve has a great one. Guillermo Leon wanted to pay tribute to his father, so he decided to produce one of Don Fernando's private blends, which he only shared with family and friends. And what a tribute it is! It has garnered a number of 90+ ratings, so we're pleased to bring you the Fernando Leon Family Reserve.
A nut-brown Dominican-grown Corojo wrapper conceals a Corojo binder. Inside you'll find long-fillers from the Dominican Republic, Peru and Brazil. Surprisingly, the result is a medium-bodied cigar, but it has amazing complexity. There are notes of cedar, leather, sweet spice and dried fruit and hints of coffee and cocoa. It changes constantly, and will keep your palate intrigued all the way to the nub.
