Battle of the Blends Free-For-All takes two giants among bulk cherry blends - Lane Limited's Very Cherry and Peter Stokkebye 3 Cherry - a pits them against each other for tangy, fruity supremacy. Both are fragrant, lightly sweet to the taste, and have a wonderful room note. If you (and the people around you) enjoy cherry blends, this is the battle for you. You'll get three ounces of each blend to give them a fair try. Then, pick your winner. In any case, you come out on top!
Both burned well, had minimal tongue bite and had a wonderful room note. They both smelled different in the bags and different when they burned but both smelled great according to wife and friends. As for the taste it goes to Peter Stokkebye. It just simply tasted better. Sweeter and more cherry flavor. Close but in my opinion Stokkebyes wines.

This is a very cherry smelling smoke. It leaves a nice cherry after taste on the pallet. Its a smooth long burning smoke. There is a strong nicotine kick that sneaks in. If you are a casual piper, I would recommend eating something harty beforehand. Also keep a nice beverage at your side to keep the cherry flavor alive.

Both tobaccos are good. I prefer the Peter Stokkebye 2 Cherry since, in my opinion, it is less flavoured than the Lane cherry tobacco. I think the Stokkebye tobacco has more body, more creamy taste, less "chemical" cherry taste than the Lane one. Nevertheless, both are good and worth trying. Pipe used to smoke: corn cob Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman.
