Fribourg & Treyer Special Brown Flake falls into the traditional Navy flake category, as it is a straight Virginia flake topped with a rum note. The rum isn’t as prominent as it is with many of the other brands, and is used to enhance, not mask, the excellent flue-cured leaf. For the flavor of a true navy flake, Fribourg & Treyer Special Brown Flake is the one to try.
This tobacco starts out very pleasant but gets somewhat harsh after about half a bowel. I probably won’t be reordering this again.

This is an old favorite which keeps satisfying. One of the better flake tobaccos.

Picked up a tin at a local tobacco shop just on a whim, boy was a pleasantly surprised. The rum note is detected from the tin, but very mild when smoked. Very cool smoke, no bite what so ever! I have since keep a couple tins in stock, Fribourg has made it into my rotation of 5 daily smokes.
