American black Cavendishes are usually made of some form of Burley. Gawith Hoggarth Black Cavendish is the European form, made by fire-curing Virginia and casing it with sugars. The result is a bit more naturally sweet, and works beautifully as a blending tobacco to soften the sharpness of a blend.
