Gawith & Hoggarth Brown Irish X Unsliced

Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s Brown Irish X is a powerful smoke, full of woody, smoky notes. The rope takes some getting used to in preparation. Slicing thin coins and letting them dry out a bit before packing is the preferred method.

This is best used by the experienced pipe smoker, as the strength can be overpowering to many, and it's definitely best to have eaten shortly before trying it.

Phenomenal powerhouse
Woodsy, smoky, reminiscent of tobacco barns firing in the fall. This is true, undiluted tobacco, and it does pack a wallop. Flavor is delicious...creamy, smoky, and just the right amount of sweetness. Just don't smoke it right before bed! I've got quite the nicotine tolerance and this one still affected me enough for one restless night. This is my bonfire blend, it pairs excellently with a nice fire and some Kentucky bourbon. Smells great when burning as well. Phenomal blend, highly recommended, especially to lovers of strong burley and VaBurs. It might run circles around Irish Flake or Jack Knife Plug in strength, but don't be afraid of it, just get you some.

Go for it
I dare you to dip this it taste like a really strong really strong chew dip etc. great tobacco if your after the nic chew this it last a long time. Smoking jt after chewing or dipping this its still very strong. Go with this tobacco if your after the nic and regular unadulterated tobacco flavor.

Gawith & Hoggarth Brown Irish X
Very strong nic content but in the right amount this tobacco is total bliss. If you haven't smoked a strong plug or rope tobacco buy an ounce or two to check it out.

Great shipping time, amazing tobacco.
Brown Irish X Unsliced is an exceptional tobacco and is also well priced. I had originally purchased it cause I love strong tobaccos and this one just took the cake. This tobacco turned my step dad to pipe smoking so i have y'all, and the wonderful company who made the tobacco, to thank for this. As you can see I give it a 5 out of 5 rating.
Customer Testimonials
I enjoyed this tobacco. After cutting a piece off, it took a little time to break it up. It was a good moisture level to smoke right away. I thought the taste was similar to Peterson Irish Flake, or Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired. Maybe a little smoother. Took a few relights throughout the bowl, but nothing major. It gave me a bit of a tingle in my sinuses when I French inhaled, but I didn't find it overpowering or offensive in any way. It's a slow burner, which I thought was a plus. Will be a good one to have around during a weekend libation or two.
This is an incredibly dense and potent tobacco. Its flavor is overpowering and I suggest to only smoke small amounts at once. I do like to get a bit of this or its sliced variant on occasion.
