Great "Aromatic" Flake
This has to be one of my favorite "aromatics". I put aromatic in quotes because for me it's not a true aromatic. Its not overly cased so the actual tobacco flavor isn't muted or distorted and comes through rather cleanly. I can definitely taste the cherry and the cream, especially during retrohale, but they gave enough room for the actual tobacco to still shine. I am not a huge fan of Lakeland's and this definitely has a touch of Lakeland essence but it seems to meld really well with the cherry and vanilla flavor so well it almost seems to be an asset to the flavoring instead of being a deterrent. It acts as more of an enhancement if you will.If you want to try a good aromatic flake and are new to Lakeland's this would make a fantastic starter.Add to that that the Gawith Hoggarth blends cellar well and just get better with age, so it's a win win.The cherry cream flake and their brown vanilla flake will continue to be two of my go to's for years to come.Absolutely great tobacco so do yourself a favor and get some, because I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

The Delectable Dessert of the Gawith-Hoggarth Lineup
Cherry Cream Flake – Using Smoke Ring's 0-to-10 rating system: Star Rating 4.5; Tin/Pouch Note = 10; Room Note = 10; Flavor = 9; Bite = 9 / almost none; Burn = 10; Aftertaste = 9; Score = 57; Rated Percentage 90%; Comments: Entirely out of the realm of the typical goopy, black Cavendish-based cherry aromatics that all taste like cheap cherry candy or cough syrup. The flavor is about a fifty-fifty of Burley and Virginia, and the natural tobacco flavor are equally as noticeable and present as the added flavorings. As with all GH blends, this flake's component tobaccos are delicious. Strength is mild to medium in both flavor and nicotine content—most certainly mild by GH standards! Just a touch of Lakeland essence underpins a pleasant, creamy taste and mouth feel with a noticeable flavoring of genuine, fresh dark-red cherries. Cherry Cream Flake tastes a LOT like Cherry Garcia ice cream by Ben & Jerry's—the best food analogy I can make for this blend. The added flavors aren't sickening or overpowering; I taste Burley and Virginia right alongside the cherry and creaminess, which is possibly vanilla bean extract. At any rate, this is a diamond in the rough that is cherry aromatics. I'm not a regular aromatic smoker—this was a totally whimsical purchase that I'm happy I made. While the mild Lakeland essence might not jive with the typical American aromatic smoker's palette, the adventurous piper and those seeking true variety in their blends will likely find this flake extremely satisfying.

Virginia with a twist
I am not a big aromatic fan, so it was with some apprehension that I even tried this blend. I do not like cloying flavorings on a tobacco. This is a high quality Virginia with a very delicate top note, the Cherry & Cream are a more subliminal hints to the Virginias. Very nicely done, G&H.

Subtle cherry flavors
There is a subtle aroma cherry. The flavor was equally subtle but very enjoyable. This is a milder (mild-medium) Gawith tobacco.

Maybe it was too dry
The plastic pouch of G&W Cherry Vanilla Flake was not sealed when it arrived from Pipes and Cigars. The tobacco inside was on the dry side. There wasn't much Perhaps a better hydrated sample would be better?
