Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s Kendal Kentucky uses dark-fired leaf from three African countries for a very robust and flavorful blend with plenty of body. The flavor is intensely smoky, but in a much different way than Latakia. This is a heady tobacco that's best enjoyed after a meal, and works great as a late-day smoke. When you want a tobacco with a kick, G&H Kendal Kentucky will deliver.
Exceptionally full flavored. This is not your ordinary Kentucky; this is an African strain that is fabulously smoothe and produces a rich and creamy coffee-like smoke. Lovers of honest tobacco flavor with no frills will treasure this. It is on the heavy side in the nicotine department, not for little girls, but if you work yourself up to it, the experience this tobacco gives is sublime! Try mixing about 3% Latakia with this for an out worldly Scottish experience.
Never experienced a nicotine hit until trying a bowl of this power-pack. The room note is very nice, but the headache is not. Everything else about it is perfectly fine. Use with caution!
No overly processed, modern pipe tobacco, this is the kind of thing that takes me back to the 19th century, to a farm house or a barn. Shag cut so care must be taken to eliminate shag snarls and clumps and to pack it tight enough so that the burn rate is slow. You will be rewarded with a pure, FULL, though medium in body, dark fired experience which is relatively smooth and easy to smoke, with a decent room note. No real detectable topping. Just the real thing, with no punches pulled. And also lacking the bitter cigar like taste that can plague some predominately dark fired blends. Highly recommended as long as you know you're asking for a FULL, relatively unprocessed experience.
