Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.'s Rum Flake is a beautifully hot-pressed combination of Virginias and Burleys that have been cased with maple and topped with a sweet rum note that creates a superb room note, and enhances the natural flavor of the leaf. The pressing darkens the tobacco and richly matures the leaf for more depth of flavor. For a taste of a more traditional blend, G&H Rum Flake is a must-try.
Good stuff! The last batch was a little too 'lakelandy' for me - a bit of air time helped a lot. Haven't tried this batch yet. Otherwise, a sweet and pleasant smoke that burns well; can be a solid 'yard gar' or a 'super premium' depending on how much attention you pay to it.
