Gawith & Hoggarth Sweet Maple Twist

I did not get any maple flavor out of this tobacco, however with that said, I did get a really great tasting tobacco. I suggest cutting the rope down to medallions with a cigar cutter and allowing the medallions to dry before use.

An excellent strong tobacco with a real leathery flavor. I prefer to cut thin slices with a cigar cutter, dry them and stuff them. The maple is very subtle - don't expect a sweet aro here. Powerful enough for a cigar smoker to be impressed.

The dark flake was very smooth it smelled very much like maple syrup.

A nice heavy tobacco with a lot of spicy flavor. If you're a lightweight I'd recommend after a meal or later in the day

The highest quality tobacco. The burleys and DFKs here are excellent. Pre game for this tobacco is terrible. It is wet in the rope and will not light without significant drying time. I've found that it's best to slice and rub out in the morning what you plan to smoke later in the day. Once the twist is in the pipe, however, it's hard to beat the smoking experience. Thick, rich, billowy smoke with a deep earthy and smoky tobacco flavor. The first third of the bowl presents a light Lakeland flavor accompanied by a slight sweetness. It's not really a flavor, maple or otherwise, but a subtle sweetness that complements the strength of the tobacco. On down through the bowl the Lakeland disappears and the slightly sweet tobaccos take over to give you a cool, smooth, and extremely satisfying smoke. As promised, the nicotine in this one will knock you out if you try to do anything but sit and relax with this weed. Even then you'll get a mighty powerful headful of chemistry.

I am very critical about my tobacco because I know how good tobacco should look and taste because I come from 7 generations of tobacco farmers. I give this five stars, good strong & clean tobacco taste like a good hand rolled cigar.
