Cairo is another singular blend from GL Pease. This blend of a number of differently colored Virginias is enhanced by exotic Orientals and finished with a condimental touch of Perique. The result is fresh, somewhat sweet and comforting.
The other reviews cover it. I like it. Sometimes you want something that tastes good with character that does not come screaming at you demanding attention. One of those blends that gives you what you wish to put into it.
Wish the 8 oz tin was available.

Sublime, Mellow, and Relaxing

This is a sublime mixture that incorporates an intriguing taste of incense and hay, with a light sweetness. Mild impression of spice (baking/cooking spices of the east, not heat) with a medium body. Mellow and relaxing smoke.
Recommended for those that like the character of MB Scottish mixture, but are curious about Orientals and non-aromatics. Will need to experiment with finding a pipe that smokes cool; this is Virginia and Oriental, and can heat up with repeated puffing.

Exactly what you would expect from a GL Pease, complicated, but very good. Definitely one to sit down with, not an everyday smoke but one that demands appreciation. has some strong floral orientals on a virginia base. Tin note originally pushed me away a bit but definitely better in the pipe. If orientals are your game and you've got the time give this a shot.
