GL Pease Meridian is a beautifully balanced mixture of Latakia with exotic Orientals and premium Virginias. The interplay of the different tobaccos leads to a medium-bodied smoke with an interesting and complex flavor. Meridian can easily be an all-day blend.

Meridian
This tobacco smokes pretty much as described. Slightly less Latakia lets the other flavors come out more. This gives it a more complex flavor without being too strong in any one facet.

An excellent all around tobacco.
I like Latakia, and when i want a change off, I go to Virginia, but I have never found a good in between...until now. This is the best "combo" I've run across. Latakia up front, but not by much. Virginia is there and present, and the Orientals make this the perfect all around tobacco. "

An all time winner!
I was intrigued with this tobacco mainly by the name Meridian. It was only when I saw a video review of it on you tube that I instantly knew I had to order some. I was not disappointed with this superb blend. It was everything that it was advertised to be and more. The taste is incredible and leaves you wanting more! Meridian will become one of my extreme favorites & will be a tobacco which I can superbly enjoy. The only one small drawback is that the tobacco itself seems somewhat coarse and was of a different cut that I normally see in a pipe tobacco. It was somewhat difficult to load in my corn cob pipe and I did have some difficulties keeping it properly lit. What I need to do is experiment some on different methods of loading this fine tobacco or maybe even using a different pipe altogether. Other than this one minor inconvenience which I am sure I can overcome that Meridian will be one of the highest ranking pipe tobaccos I have ever smoked in this newest venture into pipe smoking. I've not smoked a pipe in 15 years due to medical reasons. I began pipe smoking in 1966.

Meridian an outstanding blend
I received my G. L Pease Meridian today 08 Mar 2018 and I was anxious to try it since I'd seen a review of it on you tube recently. I was so impressed with the review that I ordered it the very same day. To say the very least this is the finest pipe tobacco I've smoked in the month I've come back to pipe smoking in 15 years. I've smoked a pipe off and on since 1966. I do believe that Meridian will become my steady smokes and for certain I will be ordering more as soon as I get to running low. The initial bowl was a very mild and sweet flavour and which deepened as the mixture was smoked. Even by the end of the smoke I was pleasantly surprised at which the depth of the smoke was apparent and yet it was still very tasty and quite enjoyable. I combined my smoke with my a glass of my favourite wine, Mateus. This wine i first enjoyed about 1966 and I've just finally been able to get a liquor store to stock it. To say the very least I am pleasantly impressed and surprised.

One of the most beautiful blends on earth
A rich, decadent, and incredibly complex blend. Rich, and cool burning blend, one of my absolute favorites!!

Delivers What it Promises
The little Pease poem on the back perfectly describes this blend. If you can read, you should be able to guess this isn't a latakia or nicotine powerhouse and if that is all you want then look elsewhere. It is what I found to be a very nice medium-light english that isn't overwhelmingly sweet. I found the flavor to be very good but not overwhelming, but it was complex enough to remain interesting. Perhaps in the winter or later hours of the evening you would reach for something with a little more heft, but for a summer afternoon I found it tough to beat.
