GL Pease Navigator

This an excellent tobacco in broken flake format that is easy to rub into ribbons. The flavor is primarily that of darker Virginias with a noticeable spice and strength from the DFK in the blend. The rum topping is noticeable from time to time but nowhere near predominant over the tobacco. Smokes like a dream with 10-15 minutes of dry time with minimal necessary relights. Order also arrived before the scheduled date! Thanks P&C you never disappoint!

Wish this stuff came in bulk! Definitely a contender for my top navy blend! This is my 4th blend from Mr. Pease and I’ve yet to have one I didn’t like!

First light yields a chocolate, coffee, and prune flavor. Mid bowl the prune and coffee go away and to me, taste coconutty. My only gripe is that it’s a bit harsh two weeks after cellaring. Burns hot, ashy, and tastes very much like a cigarette. Definitely take your time with it. I smoked out of a Churchwarden and was glad I did. I could tell this would hard on the tongue if I had used my Peterson bulldog. The dark fired kentucky will give you one heck of a nicotine hit. Gave me wobbly knees after smoking lol

Rum is lightly applied here so the tobacco is the key player. An excellent smoke using some of the tobacco money can buy. Just wish P&C would carry the 8oz. CDM Jr.

To me this is a very smooth smoke only wish supplies would be more constant for reorder

Navigator is a very tasty blend. The base tobaccos are perfectly balanced. It is on the stronger side and wants to be smoked slowly with long and slow puffs to expose the nice flavors. The rum is far in the background and does not interfere with the tobaccos natural flavors. I smoke it slow in a larger bowl and enjoy it every time.
