GL Pease Stratford is a superbly balanced mixture of red and yellow Virginias bringing sweetness, toastiness and zest, to which the perfect amount of Acadian Perique is added to tie it all together. If you want a Va/Per that's harmonious rather than delicate or raucous, give Stratford a try.
I have to confess right at the start that I was a little underwhelmed by GL Pease Stratford. I was expecting something on the order of Dunhill's Elizabethan Mixture, or Orlik Golden Sliced. I would, however recommend Stratford as an alternate blend for Virginia lovers. It's a fine, mellow, all day smoke.

Stratford has been my absolute favorite Va/Per for years. A perfect balance of light and red Virginia tobaccos. Not overly loaded with Perique like so many Va/Pers are. Not too dry or too moist. Great right out of a new can. A truly satisfying smoke from top to bottom. Thank you Greg Pease for keeping this blend around. And, a big thanks to Pipes and Cigars for keeping this one in stock.
