Go To The Cards

We need help telling who is the best of the best. This Battle of the Blends - Go To The Cards consists of two tin tobaccos, Dobie's Four Square Cut Plug and Capstan Gold Flake. Both are great Virginia's in their own right and offer main flavor profiles for an all-Virginia. So put both in your pipe and tell us who you believe deserves the golden ribbon.

Very good
Mild flavorful and easy to rub out.

no casing here.
Not sure where the other reviewer got "coconut casing" from, but there is no top-note, flavoring, casing, of any kind on this tobacco. This is an all natural tobacco. Reminds me of Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake.

This blend has a lot of potenial after a year or two of aging.
My initial opinion of this blend was negative. The coconut casing was unusual to my taste buds. I think a year or two of aging will meld the flavors and produce an excellent aromatic flake with a deeper flavor profile.

Light and sweet Virginia
Faint tin note of dates and honey. Milder and with less depth than Capstan Blue, the flavor is honey and black tea with a hint of lemon. Quite fond of it myself, despite the high price.
