Bourbon is the hottest spirit around. The coppery whiskey with its caramel sweetness has found throngs of new fans in recent years. Now, one of the true masters of liquor-infused cigars, Kaizad Hansotia of Gurkha, has decided to release his take with Gurkha Bourbon Collection.
There are two vitolas - a 6.0 x 50 toro, and a 7.2" x 52 Churchill, each in glass tubes. But Gurkha wanted to really shake things up, so the toro comes in a golden Connecticut Shade wrapper, while the Churchill is enrobed with a dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf maduro capa. Both shapes are redolent with the tangy sweetness of Hartfield & Co. bourbon, which comes through gently throughout the cigar. The toro adds notes of leather, wood, and white pepper, while the Churchill gets hints of coffee, cocoa, and black pepper. If you want to enjoy the flavor of Kentucky bourbon without the fuzzy head the next morning, you need to try Gurkha Bourbon Collection.
