One of the things that sets Gurkha apart from other cigar companies is that they don't limit themselves to tobaccos from one or two countries. In fact, they go to great lengths to bring together superb leaf from all over to make unique cigars. One excellent example of this philosophy is Gurkha Heritage Maduro.
Kaizad Hansotia chose an especially dark San Andres Maduro wrapper for these gems. Then he selected a Brazilian Aripiraca binder - the same kind of leaf used as the wrapper on CAO Brazilia. The long-fillers are a combination of Nicaraguan and Brazilian tobaccos. The flavor profile includes notes of coffee and baking chocolate along with a toasty character and sweet spices. If you're a maduro fan Gurkha Heritage Maduro should be on your short list.
