I like bold cigars. Just the other day, I was enjoying one of my favorites, the Gurkha Evil, and it got me to thinking about the wide range of cigars that Kaizad Hansotia makes. When I'm on the golf course, I prefer something mellow, so there was a Connecticut Shade offering from Gurkha sitting here, the Gurkha Nemesis, so I took it with me, and I'm glad I did.
These are exceptionally smooth Dominican-made gems with a golden-blonde Connecticut Shade capa, which covers a Dominican binder and long-fillers. It has a perfect draw, and kicks out plumes of thick, creamy smoke. Notes of leather, cedar, roasted nuts, and cream are balanced against just the right amount of pepper. For those times when only something soft and subtle will do, there's Gurkha Nemesis.
