Pedro Martin was a man who lived cigars. He began in the fields of Cuba at age seven. He eventually found his way to the US, and then later to the fertile soil of Nicaragua, where he founded Tabacalera Tropical where he made his own blends, plus some for other companies. Gurkha pays tribute to this legend, who passed away in 2010 with the Pedro Martin Maduro.
These gorgeous, dark morsel are clad in a dark San Andres maduro wrapper, over a Nicaraguan maduro binder, to add to the remarkable depth of this medium to full-bodied blend. The core is all Nicaraguan Cuban-seed long-fillers, completing a rich flavor profile that carries notes of coffee, cocoa, sweet spices nuts and a hint of caramel on the finish. This is a wonderful tribute to the memory of a master. You really should try Gurkha's Pedro Martin Maduro.
