Gurkha Urban Legend

Gukrha Urban Legend puts a wild spin on an English blend. A light amount of Latakia and a hint of Perique are combined with Virginias and Burleys that have been imbued by a bit of mocha, pressed and roughly rubbed-out for a long, cool burn.

If this legend became history it would be fine with me.
Not a big fan after 3 bowls. I will finish the tin but will not reorder. Not horrible but nothing that makes me really enjoy it. Bland

Gurka Urban Legend Review
It's a good robust smoke and I wanted to try a blend with Perique but I prefer more Cavendish.

I've been enjoying mild and smooth aromatics, but wanted to try something that might have a little more bite and pizazz. This fit the bill without being over powering.

Subtle yet Complex
This has become my new favorite. It's like nothing I've had before. You're not going to get a mouth full of smokey flavor like you would with a strong latakia blend and you're not going to get a blast of awesome aroma like you would with your favorite cavendish. Instead what you get is a smooth, subtle, and very complex blend with a natural sweetness that increases as it heats up. Unlit, it smells like prunes and campfire. Correct me if I'm wrong but the prune smell is from the Virginia leaves, right? And the smokey smell would be the latakia. When you first light it, you don't get much of an impression of anything. Pretty darn mild at first. But as it burns, it begins to change flavor. In fact, it keeps changing flavor as it gets hotter and hotter. So this tobacco takes patience. But it's worth the wait. After about 20 minutes, you're getting mouthfulls of smokey subtle sweetness - almost like a grape flavor - but not fake, chemically, or candy-ish like cavendish flavored blends. Again, I think this is from the Virginias. It's a natural sweetness that haters of cavendish could appreciate. This blend is almost as smooth as Commadore Flake but has a radically different flavor. Darn! Writing this has put me in the mood for more! I've read that it is imbued with mocha. If it is, I can't detect it. Instead, I get earthy, smokey, dark fruit. Pretty awesome stuff!

Great blend.
Great blend, the mocha flavor doesnt overpower the tobacco, nice mild smoke could be enjoy it with the morning coffee or chocolate.
