H. Upmann The Banker is a modern reimagining of a cigar made over 150 years ago. Carl and Herman Upmann were German bankers, and they wanted a special cigar for their clients. The went to Cuba to have their cigar created. The formula was lost in the 1920s during a fire, but they've attemped to recreate the blend.
A deeply hued Ecuadorian Habano wrapper greets you, and the filler tobaccos consists of well-aged Dominican and Nicaraguan leaf. The Banker is on the full side of medium-bodied with just the right amount of spice to enhance the cigar without overwhelming. It's earthy with hints of coffee and wood and some sweet spices. See for yourself how flavorful a medium-strength cigar can be.
This is among my very favorite cigars. That is possibly true for many, as they have been hard to acquire lately. Good smoke from start to finish.

Great SMOOTH smoke!! Tightly rolled making it a strong draw but thoroughly enjoyed cigar.

I absolutely love this cigar. It's the one that I smoke to start my day. The burn, draw and flavour are wonderful. It makes a very dense ash that stays attached almost an inch and a half, to two inches before you have to finally tap it. You won't regret picking some of these up. They are definitely worth the money.
