HC Series Connecticut - by no means your typical Connecticut.
Most cigars with a Connecticut Shade wrapper are fairly predictable - leathery, woody, peppery. In an effort to avoid the mundane, They took a long time developing the HC Series Connecticut, and the result is impressive. Underneath the golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper is the first surprise, and Ecuadorian Sumatra binder. The long-fillers inside hail from Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Mexico, delivering a much different flavor than the outward appearance would suggest. Though the familiar flavors are there, there's a roasted nuttiness with a hint of coffee not ususally found in blonde cigars. If you want a mellow to medium-bodied cigar with some complexity, here's your chance.
