American Heritage is a combination of matured Burleys, red Virginia, Turkish and a touch of Latakia. Reminiscent of some of the classic American/English blends of yesteryear, it has a flavor all its own featuring rich earthiness, a buttery character with just enough spice and smokiness to make this the perfect companion.
Enjoyed this one. Tough to beat Blackhouse as the Latakia there is a bit bolder, but I did find this was pleasant and gentle. As with another review, it came in dry, but I re-hydrated it (was fun to do, actually) and had a nice hour on the porch. Great for those days you want the pipe to lie in the background of your thoughts. Very little tongue bite (probably wouldn't be any but I think I hydrated it too much and had to work it more than usual). This is one I'd recommend to someone who is making the journey from aero's to non'aero's. Nice introduction.

Great blend. Mine came it was really dry, no big deal. I rehydrated it. Taste is fantastic, the tobaccos compliment each other. Thanks Russ.
