Hearth & Home Signature Delta Days

Though my favorite special occasion tobacco is G.L. Pease Quiet Nights, this is a satisfying smoke for all those days in between. Good character and smooth smoking, a stand out in its own right.

I like the flavor, and if you "hotbox" your pipe (like I do) the burley is friendly.

The mahogany Burley dominates this blend and imparts a woody taste, with rough edges that are smoothed a little by the sweet Virginia. The Perique brings both dark fruit and peppery sensations to the mix. I find a tinge of "Burley bitters" -- but that's not altogether bad here. Overall there is a lack of balance, but it is nonetheless interesting. Smoke volume and body are excellent. I can't work up 4-star enthusiasm for this blend, but VaPer lovers who occasionally crave a Burley-forward smoke should try it. Similar Blends: This is better than GLP/Cumberland. If you want to avoid the woody taste, go for RO/Fire Storm. I could even see C&D/Haunted Bookshop on the same shelf -- despite its musty overtones.

This stuff is awesome, too bad it didn't come in 8oz tins, guess I need to buy some jars. I guess if I have to compare it to something I would compare it to Old Joe Krantz but more mellow.

Oh yea! Draw it hard and enjoy the slightly pungent spicy taste of the Perique. But, sip it slow and, oh man, it tastes like the crusty whole-grain bread my father used to bake! It's time to offer it in 8-ounce tins! I'll be the first in line! -Roben

This is an awesome VaPer. It is smooth and very tasty. I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner.

I bought this to compare it to their vr blend. It is really good. The flavors blend very well, but I will stay with the vr blend for my personal taste. I do recommend this blend.

Wonderful tobacco blend. The spiciness of the perique jumps out at you in the first third of the bowl, and then smoothes out with a nice sweet flavor of the virginia. Highly recommended. Being a va/per fan, I will be keeping this in my daily rotation.
