When I opened the package the contents immediately disintegrated into a fine powder which was then caught in a cross draft between my ceiling fan and an open window the spore cloud of Newport like aroma wafted toward my sleeping dog Lucy. As the nicotine smog descended on the unaware dog she breathed in deeply and was exposed to the high levels of nicotine. She was unharmed by this but has been bumming my smokes ever since.

Good flavor/smooth

This is not a five star item in my book, but I am a high level menthol lover. It has a slight bit of menthol touch and is rather bold and good cuts, but just not strong enough menthol for me (being a camel crush menthol smoker) if your like me don't bother, but if you just want tobacco bold flavor with a hint of mint, this would be right up your alley. Hope that helps

I probably should have gotten a MINT tobacco rather than a menthol one. It smells pretty good, but it doesn't taste like anything. I can FEEL the menthol coolness in my mouth, but I don't really taste anything. I have a pound of this stuff, and it'll probably last me 30 years...

It is very dry, but I loaded my corn cob this morning and smoked it on the way home and moisture level was perfect. Great price and I think I've found a way to get away from cigarettes and work my way to enjoying a pipe without inhaling. The best I've come across yet.

Really nice tobacco for a change of pace. The menthol flavor is powerful yet very smooth. Cool burning tobacco and stays lit in the pipe very well. I like to mix this with other tobaccos to put that menthol flavor lightly in the background. Lane makes great tobaccos, I'm glad they brought this one back.

Very dry. No toast or its gone. I had to reconstitute humidity to use.
