Handy. I got what I paid for
Five Stars, if the packer rod would not have broken and it held more fuel.

Works great!
Very nice feel and tools are very handy and work great. Just missing a fluid level window but other then that work great!!

Second one
Liked the first one so much I decided to have a second one around. Holds plenty of fluid, works flawlessly. Yeah...it doesn’t have a sight glass but it will be a while virg to refill. Great price, too!

Great lighter
Great lighter! And Pipes and Cigars went above and beyond with a shipping/missing package issue.

Junk!
Worse lighter than a bic disposable. Lasted 4 days and the flame stays on after lighting. Total junk!

Easy to operate
The reviews seem very mixed on this item but I did take away a few tips (reminders) on what to be careful with. Mine lit fine and stayed lit. So far, I am enjoying this lighter (now, only my third) and it seems to be easy to operate.

nice lighter but
I like the lighter. only two issues. The plastic pieces where the butane adjustment screw broke. I am thinking maybe they shouldn't be there because it adjusts better without it. the other issue is knowing when your lighter is full. Otherwise for the price it can't be beat.

Great Lighter
Very nice lighter. Has worked every time I've needed it. Very simple to adjust the size of the flame and the built in tools are very handy.

barely lights
Goes out easy.. have to click numerous times to light pretty frequently... wouldn't recommend .

Great lighter
Birthday present for my pipe smoker, he loves it. Perfect lighter, great hand weight, and stylish.

Good lighter
Not bad for the price. Looks great and functions ok. Two things keeping my rating at three stars. One, the plastic rim around the flame adjustment fell out. And Two, the flame won't survive in even a small breeze.

A Golem even Strider could love...
I should actually be writing this review as a "VERIFIED BUYER", since I picked the JetLine GOLEM Pipe Lighter as a birthday present!!! The ligher is quite nice. Functionally, it is sorta like Windows 10. Took me a bit to set up to my liking--flame adjustment, figuring out the best filling sequence; once I'd gotten the mechanicals all alighned, things sett8led down nicely. Fit and function--the lighter has a nice heft to it. I like a moderately weighty ligher...priorly I was using a Z-pipe instert in a flea-market find Zippo chrome case...and the Golem is about half-again as heavy, which works for me. The flame is nicely soft and curves just right...and I mean JUST right...to avoid the pipe bowl rim when lighting up a freshly filled bowl; the adjustment I have set to the point it reaches the bottom of my Savinelli Estrella bent Billiard, which is about 1-5/8" deep. As to the on-board tool kit...I've not really used it to any extent. Seems okay; since I work virtually, I have several full-sized tampers with picks at hand. Nice touch, though. So, question to always ask...would I give this lighter as a gift to a fellow pipeista. Yep, sure would. Good value and not the least bit ostentatious. My kinda pipe accessory.

So far, a disappointment.
Why is it not possible to find a more reliable lighter than a cheap Bic? This lighter is butane-refillable, but I have had terrible experience getting a decent flame out of it, no matter how many times I refill it, no matter where I set the flame control on the bottom. It's just not reliable. Some times it works great, then it won't light at all. I hate the nagging thought every time I leave the house with it that I'll be stuck in the car or out walking and it will give up again. Yes, I'm filling it properly. At least I think I am. There were no instructions that showed how, but I place the butane tank straight up, put the nozzle on the hole and push down for one second pulses like I was shown with an earlier lighter. It's still unreliable. I blow inside the spark area to clear any dust from around the sparker, everything I can think of. It's still just not reliable. The tools that come with it are too short to be useful, too, so don't think that will help or give you extra bang for your buck. You'll never use them. Would definitely not buy again.

This little light of mine...
Very nice little lighter. Easy to fill, easy to use. The built in tool is passable but I will still most likely use a larger pipe tool when at home. The lighter has a nice heft to it. It has a solid feel to it and the lighting trigger is pretty responsive. One aspect of the lighter that I particularly like is the coating which makes the lighter easy to hold onto.

Tools are aluminum - easily broken
It's a terrific pipe lighter, but the tools suck! I loved this lighter until I dropped it on a RUBBER mat in my basement and the tamper (which was extended) bent. As I tried to bend it back, it snapped off. Obviously cheap aluminum construction. Stainless steel would have been a much better alternative. It renders the tool kit part of the lighter useless. Will keep it as a lighter, but sad that I will have to carry two tools to achieve what I had achieved with one.

Pretty nice lighter for your pipes
Nice lighter and works like a charm. Does not always light on the first try but I have more expensive lighters with the same issue. I would buy again.

Could be a great lighter but .....
I have the same problem that the others have mentioned - it can take a while to light. I use high end butane so doubt that is the problem. Really like the design and the tools included.

I love it when it fires
It doesn't always fire. I love the design, but am never 100% sure it will work.

works great
This light has worked flawlessly for the month I've had it so far. I love the butane soft flame. The tools are great because they are at hand. They are understandably a little short, bu I use the tamper regularly. I have other tools when needed, but it is handy to have some included in my lighter. I do recommend.

Too expensive at half the price
Difficult to use and requires regular refilling. Ignition button works fine at first, but soon needs repeated clicks to produce a flame. Flame adjustment is easy...IF you have a 5/16 flathead screwdriver, and haven't worn out the slot trying to find something that works. If it's set too high, it often either won't light or barely lights. You might have that problem at medium setting too, or it may burn intolerably high and scorch the rim. I'm lucky I discovered that on a Missouri Meerschaum and not an expensive pipe. On top of all that, it uses a LOT of butane. Don't buy.

Best light next to matches
I love using matches to light my pipe, but its never convenient on the go or outdoors. My Zippo pipe lighter works great outdoors but it gives off a nasty taste on the initial light and requires refueling even when it just sits on the shelf. None of this is a problem with a butane lighter. No leaks! I can smoke once a month and I know my lighter will be ready. The Golem looks great and has a really nice set of pipe tools integrated into the lighter. This is my go-to!

Good around lighter
Recently purchased with several items and this has been a good purchase...easy to fill, easy operate and generally lights on first or second click. The lighter is very good in a breeze if you can shelter the pipe bowl a little. Good buy, excellent price with fast and fair service.

Works well.

Cool for Pipes.
This lighter works nice and the offset flame port keeps your thumb from being torched. Good smoke free flame which is easily adjustable on the bottom. Much better than the bic i was using.

Thoughts on the JetLine Golem Pipe Tool Lighter
After reading previous reviews I decided to give this one a try. Glad I did. It has always worked and the tools work well on my pipes. Find myself reaching for this lighter so only item has to be carried in the pocket. As a matter of fact, it works so well that i recently bought a second one and have had no problems with it either.

JetLine Golem butane pipe lighter
As with many people I have for near 20 years enjoyed smoking a pipe with good tobacco and a reliable lighter is always something that you are always looking for because basically they stop working.I have a box full of lighters from low to higher end that all stopped working and most within a few months to within a year. So I have been using for ten years now butane torch lighters($10-$15) which from my experience have proven to be the most reliable lighter in any weather conditions. But because I now have a new pipe with a smaller bowl I was looking for a good reliable soft side lighter and based on reviews purchased the Jetline Golem. As in the reviews feels good and solid in the hand.I have only had this lighter for two weeks and so far using it every day has lit up every time and is long lasting between refills.I have been using the fold down pipe tools and am liking having everything you need right in the hand. It came well presented in a black box and cost $25.I am very pleased with this lighter and hope it lasts along time.A friend is already going to purchase one for himself.I still will use a torch lighter as a back up when needed (to much wind) but am very happy to use this lighter at all other times.

Go with Flint striker
This is a decent lighter. I find that the flint ignition lighters are much more reliable. I would recommend saving your money and buying one of that style.

A fine lighter
Works fine every time, more efficient than many vastly more expensive. Great value.

Nice pipe lighter
Nice crisp break on the trigger. Has a good set of tools(thought one handed deploying is a bit easier on my condor) finish is holding up nicely so far. Only improvements I could recomend would be a has sight window and a small burl I could get my thumb on to pull out the tamper one handed

Good lighter for the money
Very good lighter. Would have given 5 stars if it had a fill window.

It's nice
Bought this as a gift for my brother but took it out of the box to fill it before I gave it to him. In the few minutes I had it in my hands I got the impression that it is solid and well made. Made me think about getting one for myself in the future.

great lighter for the money
I actually picked this one because I was searching for flint lighters, this came up and I liked all the other features enough that I didn't read the entire description. I really wanted a flint lighter. There's just something less jarring about the muted grinding of steel on flint. I find the CLACK of an electric lighter annoying. Especially if you smoke a pipe. Lots o clackin goin on. And I've never had an electric sparked lighter that was highly likely to fire on the first clack, so its clack clack....clack. However, it has a huge tank, handy tools for when you just don't wanna bend forward and reach for the one in the ashtray, its got some nice heft, the burlwood has a classy look to it and it was under $20. How can you go wrong with all of that? Now if they just made one with a sparkwheel...

Works great and looks good doing it

My all purpose lighter
Well made and solid with a satisfying click that produces flame on the first push, every time. Couldn't be more satisfied and see more JetLine products in my future.

Looks good, works great!
If you're looking for a soft flame pipe lighter, look no further. This one is reliable, well built and easy to use.

Great deal!
So far best pipe lighter I've had. Easy to fill, easy to adjust, nice heft to it. Seems solidly built. Lights on first or second click every time. If it holds up excellent deal for the money. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I've only had it a month so longevity is still to be determined but I'm very happy with it so far.

JetLine Golem Pipe Tool Lighter
Best lighter I've ever purchased. I only refill once a week and the lighter lights the first time everytime. The pipe tools are of good quality and should stand the test of time. Works great outside with a light breeze blowing. Great lighter for the price and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quality inexpensive pipe lighter. Great service from P&C. Thanks for all the great things you do for us pipe smokers.

Great!
So Far....... great lighter, dont use tools tho. i prefer use different tools.

Great so far.
I've been using this lighter for about three weeks and it seems to light on the first time, every time. Fuel consumption seems to be average. The built in pipe tools are a bonus however if you use them the lighter and your hands can get pretty dirty when you go to light it again. Overall quite happy with this product so far.

Flame adjust does nothing
Nice lighter...BUT the flame adjustment does not function and the flame keeps getting smaller and smaller

WELL Worth The Buy
This lighter has it all. Solid and appropriate flame, tools for piping, and most important of all- RELIABLE ON THE LIGHT. No issues whatsoever with ignition first time, every time.

Jetline
Great lighter. Ignites every time with a consistent flame. Spent twice as much on a Xikar lighter and the Golem out performs it. Definitely a must buy if you are smoking pipes. Also works fine on cigars. Very pleased with purchase and PC's service.

Best I've found on the InterNet!!!!
Pipesandcigars is one of the very best on-line shops I have ever had to pleasure of dealing with. Their Customer Support is second to none, and they dealt with a problem with a lost order (fault of USPS) in a very timely and satisfactory manner. The people answering the phone-line were very courteous, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. I'll be back!!!!!

Error in the criticism of the golem
Oops! I made a mistake in my criticism of the golem. the screw is for taking the lighter apart, not for adjusting the flame. The adjuster is a wheel/ dial in the area where you filll the lighter with butane so, all in all, the golem is a great lighter.

Correction on the complaint of the golem lighter
Whoops ! I made an error on my criticism of the golem lighter. The Philips screw that I thought was for adjusting the flame is actually the screw for taking the lighter apart for servicing. The adjusting "wheel" is in with the fill valve where you fill the lighter with butane. With that being in mind I can say that this feature works well and the golem lighter is a very good lighter.

A problem lighter
A nice lighter that works fine except the screw flame adjuster is problematic and doesn't work worth a damn ! I've returned it to the factory for repair. You shouldn't have to do this with a new lighter !

Lacardo replacement lighter
A great little lighter that works first time every time. This model, I understand, has replaced the Lacardo which has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Always remember to use 4x or 5x refined butane or you will have problems with any lighter. Stay away from zippo, ronson and other inferior grades of butane !
