J.F. Germain Uncle Tom's Smoking Mixture isn't what you would expect from the description. It's classified as a Cavendish blend, so it sounds like it might be a full-blown aromatic, but it has just a slight added aroma. This is made of Virginia, Burley, and a touch of unflavored black Cavendish with a mellow brown sugar sweetness. There's an earthiness to the blend, but the black Cavendish definitely adds enough flavor to balance it out. It has a somewhat stringy cut which helps the tobacco to stay lit easily without a lot of maintenance. If you want something subtle, but with enough real tobacco flavor to be satisfying, this might just hit the spot.
