This K&P Irish Made Straight Pot was a well-loved pipe. How do I know? No, I don't know the owner but I do know how to identify wear and tear on pipes. The chamber is in fine shape, perfectly in-round. But there are small, shallow dents all over the wood which indicate that the pipe was carried in the same pocket as his keys, which means that it was the owner's go-to pipe because he carried it everywhere. That's also a good indicator that it was a good smoker. Also, the stem was well worn and beyond repair - another sign of steady use. Luckily our restorer, Dan Chlebove had some genuine Peterson p-lip stems and he finished one to exactly match the original - all except the "P" stamp.
