Pipe tobacco
Great midday smoke, with no after bite on the tounge and a very pleasant light aroma

Vikings make things better.
Mild on flavor and aroma. I mix it with other tobaccos to balance them out if they are to sweet or strong.

This blend has a low moisture content it looks smokes and smells nice I would not call it anything to write home about but the price is fair and I can’t say anything bad about it

One of my favorites, a very hardy and at the same time mellow smoke. It has a rich full flavor, for those whom like to blend, this is the one that will marry the flavor of another tobacco such as gambler red, to create a very pleasing smoke.

An OK Smoke
This blend was a it more harsh than I expected and I experienced a slight tongue bite after smoking.

Subtle
This is a subtle blend with a mild taste. There is a bitterness at the initial light but seems to even out as it is smoked.

Why would I smoke anything else?
All variants presented by Peter Stokkebye are the best available choices in my humble opinion. This one happens to be my favorite. However, I have smoked most of the rest and truly enjoyed them. Super clean tobacco of high quality. I think you will enjoy it.

A good light smoke. I can almost taste a hint of Honey or maybe vanilla. It mix's well with a more robust tobacco to balance it out. I suppose it is all about individual taste. I'm a Stokkebye fan and I'd recommend at least giving it a try.

Lovely and easy burn. Light burley overtones. Flavor is very mild and my wife like it. Pleasant smoke. Enjoying it as a Morning first. Recommend to beginners.

light but not boring
This is a very good tobacco for the price. I smoke enough that I want a light blend but so many such blends are boring. This one is not.

I used this to make some great medium flavored cigarettes. I highly recommend all the PS non-aro's. The service here is consistently awesome.

It tasted plenty good, but
It tasted plenty good, but arrived a little dry for my taste. Usually isn't a problem with the tobaccos I buy from pipesandcigars.com, so maybe I got a bad batch.

Good all day smoke
Great blend. I like to add a touch of dark kentucky for a late night pipe. But out of the bag this is a great all day smoke.

A good Summer smoke choice.
New to pipes. Smoked cigarettes for 10 years. I get that faint after cigarettes taste. My hearts set on newminsters No. 9R Rich vanilla. But I wanted to give their others a try. Loved the smoke it was smooth and light and will make for a good summer nights smoke for me personally. Touch of leather aftertaste that is pleasant. This will go well after grilling some fish on my patio this summer.

Different but a winner no doubt
First impressions, the bag note is virginia forward. It has a extremely light handed topping that's hardly detectable but it's there. It's has a lighty sweet, earthy nose, with as others have described as minty but nothing like menthol. Just a hint, it's barely there. It is not dry but ready to smoke. Smokes cool in a pipe and the virginia stands out with the burley and oriental in the back ground giving it a nice complexity and keeping it interesting. The topping is interesting and different from any other blends I've tried. It's not heavily topped if any, it's hard to tell. I'm glad I ordered a lot of this blend as it's captivating and different.

Stokkebye yes. Westminster...hard no.
Of the 2 blends the westminster tastes similar to a cigarette both in taste and room aroma. Not a great blend in my opinion. However the Stokkebye is a wonderful smooth blend, not too complex or rich. Great for a morning pipe, a mid day break, room notes are pleasant. Would purchase the Stokkebye again. Westminster...no

PS80 Norwegian Blend
This is my favorite pipe tobacco. The flavor is great. I do not like tobacco that is overly moist or over-powering in taste. This is a pleasant, slightly aromatic ribbon cut that simply smokes well. I highly recommend this tobacco for a smooth aromatic smoke.

Complex
Very odd flavor, but not bad. A number of reviews state that Virginia is the dominant flavor but for me I got more burley than anything else. The Virginia was present enough to offset some of the burley and the orientals were so mild I could tell something else was in the blend but couldn’t quite identify the flavor. Very nice smoke if you want something mild that doesn’t get in your face.

Good for a change.........
A light smooth smoke with a little zing but not overpowering. Good for a change of pace if you are taking a break from heavier blends.

Consistent flavor. Like a seasoned Turkish tobacco. Has an aroma like Olives. Very Nice.
The Norwegian blend could be called a Virginian blend because it has Burley and Oriental but the Virginia is somehow primary. When I got it, I sensed an almost minty aroma that changed into a greek olive type aroma and smoking-flavor. It is a favorite now. It reminds me of Turkish and with a medium seasoned olive spice.

Really nice blend for new pipe smokers
I got this along with 5 other tobaccos and this is definitely my favorite of the more "mild" blends I got personally. Stays lit pretty well and tastes smooth and good throughout the entire bowl to the bottom. Will definitely get more.

Pipe Smoking Wonder-Blend
My favorite all-day blend. Simple, easy to love, and light. The Burley does have a bit of a nic kick, but it has a nice crisp flavor and is a wonderfully relaxing smoke

Perferred Blend
I enjoy Peter Stokkebye line to Tobacco Products. Their #80 Norwegian Blend is my main ordered item from Pipes and Cigars... I also enjoy other Peter Stokkebye flavor tobacco's as well too. All batches of Peter Stokkebye that I have ordered from Pipes and Cigars over the past year and half have been PERFECT! Pipes and Cigars are SWIFT Shippers as well too!

Mild but Tasty
Pretty mild on its own. This would be a decent all-day smoke by itself, and there’s a lot of flavor here for the price. If you want a good base for blending this would be excellent.

Clean and Flavorful
This blend has been my go to lately as I enjoy the flavor of an aromatic, but I've been turned off by the film of chemical after tastes left by many other aromatics. A 50/50 mixture of this blend and Perique has surpassed my preference for Lane 1-Q.

Sweet and Sexy
I started rolling my own cigarettes using top-o-matic and was looking for a tobacco that was sorta close to the smooth and light American Spirits I smoked. The Norwegian Stokkeby was my 3rd try and I'm satisfied. It makes a classy smooth cigarette.

Nice stuff, but I'll still try others
I bought this PS 80 Norwegian to compare it to the D&R Vengeur Platinum I’ve been working through in my recent conversion to MYO. Frankly, the Platinum is almost perfect – smooth, light, well- balanced, cool burning, absolutely no harshness, but a bit fast burning, even after hydrating. However, I feel it fell short in a few areas. It lacked the sensory back-throat hit I’ve become accustomed to in cigarettes, it had no discernable Vitamin N, and it had an almost overpowering sweetness . . . almost like it had been sprayed with sugar water. And, if it contained any Burley at all, I couldn’t detect it. The PS 80 was an interesting contrast. It was still pretty sweet, but not in an artificial manner – more of a natural sweet from the Virginias. It provided clear citrus undertones, probably from a higher Oriental content. It also seemed to offer a slight sour note, as if there was a shred of Turkish in the mix. I think I also detected a hint of woody, smokey Burley. This blend was definitely felt in the throat when inhaled, although not in a harsh way. I can’t say, though, that the nicotine presence was any stronger than with the D&R. It clearly burned more slowly than the D&R. I tried mixing the two 50/50, and surprisingly found that each seemed to compliment the other. The Vengeur toned down the Citrus in the Norwegian, while the Norwegian slightly muted the almost artificial sweetness of the Vengeur, plus adding hints of Burley and Turkish. I’m okay with mixing the two short-term, but I’m still on the hunt for the perfect, singular MYO product.

Stokkebye for stuffing.
Excellent tobacco.

3.5 stars. its alright
i have tried it in a pipe, and in a cig. i think the tobacco is a bit too dry (from the choice of tobacco leaves) for a good pipe smoke and its too light to get any good deep flavor from a pipe. i personally get a honey dew and tons of earth tones when i smoke it in a cig. but if i choose to smoke it in a pipe i add some peaches and cream to the bowl does well for me.

Excellent RYO blend.
Bought this blend on recommendation from a friend. Makes great RYO cigs. I don't even bother with a filter as this stuff is not overly powerful. Great for mixing as well.

Not An Aromatic Tobacco, But...
Will get compliments on room note. It's an Oriental-forward blend with noticeable amounts of Red Virginia and Burley that all play nice together. A good solid everyday smoke.

Not An Aromatic
This Oriental-forward blend has enough Red Virginia and Burley to be noticeable, but they all play nice together. A very good all day smoke that gets a lot of compliments on room note.

Newminster 80 Norway
Very light, inoffensive blending based. Barely topped, more fruity bag note than anything, practically a non-aro. Smoked at the 2 year mark with no changes. This may be the right tobacco for a light puffer with a low nicotine tolerance.

Very odd
Very unusual, nondescript flavor. Was okay the first time or two but then became what I would call "cloying." Must be one of those things like horehound that's either an acquired taste or for palettes that were raised on it. I'm not sure what they eat in Norway that tastes like this but I sure as heck didn't grow up on it.

I recently ordered the knock out in Norway sampler and have only tried the Newminster no 80 it is a good tasteing tobbaco it is the first that i have tried with the turkish in it and that really seems to liven up the taste . sipped slowly it leaves no bite . but it does leave a slight tingle on the tounge.

Lovely
My favorite of the 5 PS for MYO I tried this round from P&C. The bag note is amazing: sweet; fragrant; doughy; maybe even a hint of mint in it. You want to eat it. When smoking it's a different creature, all tobacco, medium to fuller flavor with some interesting complexity. I like it a lot. Will order again.

Smooth Smoking
Pretty smooth and mellow out of the pipe. Good if you just want a smoke and need something different than the usually aromatic or english blends. My buddy loves it in his MYO cigs. He goes between making his own with American Spirit or buying Camel Wides. Can't beat the price compared to a can of Spirit! About 1/4 the cost of it here in CT.

No.80 Norway
Very nice aromatic. Stays lit. Very little bite. Nice room note and taste for the smoker. Good stuff.
5 out of 5
Excellent MYO
The best MYO tobacco I have found so far. I use to smoke ultra light spirits. This doesn't taste like any store bought cigs. It's allot better. If I were to compare it to a store cig it would have to be dunhills in quality but the taste is sweeter with a pinch of spice on exhale and allot smoother. If rolled tight there's not much throat hit. Honestly, this makes most bagged bulk pipe tobacco in local stores used for MYO seem like trash. I use Beretta elite tubes with micro holes in the filter for ultra light strength.

mellow and smooth
Wow, this is so smooth and light, there is so much flavor, but its so mellow on the pallet. Excellent room note as well.

Great for rolling your own
I roll my own cigarettes and can't find a decent tobacco in local stores. This blend is an amazing relief from the dry and quick burning convenience store brands. The Norwegian blend is mild, super smooth and just the right moisture to roll a perfect smoke. I'll try other blends as they become available but for now this is my favorite.

I have been using this tobacco as a RYO and i half to say i enjoy this way better than bugler! this stuff is amazing! love the taste and its got just the right amount of dryness to roll a nice smoke! this blend is good in a pipe as well! Im going to buy 2oz and give the Turkish blend a try!

Tasty, toasty, and smooth...
Nice for RYO.

King of RYO
Not the best in a pipe, but fantastic for RYO purposes. The burley in this blend gives that satisfying hit when injected into a filter tube, giving it the feel of the popular Red label factory made cigarettes but with a complex taste that the mainstream brands just can't match.

Rich, yet smooth
Recently decided to give up my Camel Blue cigarettes and roll my own. My first attempts with store-bought brands of loose tobacco didn't work out for me. I was happy I was first able to buy a one-ounce bag to sample from Pipes and Cigars. It led me to discover this Norwegian Blend! It is the closest I've found to my Camel Blues; it's rich, yet smooth. I pack it into a light, filter tube. It gives me the same premium quality I was used to for a lot less expense. I'll be ordering more.

Newminster No. 80 Norway
Nice smooth blend. It is burley forward, but I caught hints of the virginia and turkish in there as well. I thought it was well balanced. I thought it had a tea-like smell upon opening the pouch. I caught hints of a tea flavor in the smoke too. I will be ordering this one again. Good any time of the day.
