Kristoff has been, right from the beginning, an "outside the box" brand, and Kristoff Connecticut continues that tradition. The Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper is a bit darker than most, giving the first indication that this isn't an ordinary Connecticut. It's topped off by Kristoff's signature chunky pigtail cap. A Nicaraguan Habano binder lies underneath, and it surrounds four different types of Dominican Cuban-seed long-fillers. Although the expected notes of wood and leather are here, there's a distinct nuttiness along with sweet cream, vanilla and spices that compliment the mellow to medium-body. This is a different approach to Connecticut Shade cigars with the Kristoff touch.
