Around ten years ago, the P&C Faithful fell in love with La Flor Dominicana's Coronado. For some reason, though, they disappeared. Now Coronado makes a triumphant return, and we're sure that it will be greeted with open arms.
The highlight of La Flor Dominicana Coronado is that it's rich and powerful, but very balanced. A milk chocolate-brown Nicaraguan Habano wrapper enrobes a Dominican binder and select long-fillers. A bold burst of pepper is offset by a dark sweetness, earthiness and a leathery character. This is a cigar to be savored, and will stand up beautifully to a sweet bourbon or peaty Scotch.
