This is as smooth and bite-free as it gets. Lane Limited's Bulk Burley Black is light and sweet, cool-smoking, and incredibly satisfying. This is a blend you can enjoy anytime, all day long. Besides a definite creamy vanilla top note, there appears to be a hint of cocoa which may actually come from the Burley itself. Burley and Black is a great new choice from Lane Limited, the company that redefined aromatic pipe tobacco.
So you want to know what this is like? Captain Black original. I can't tell any difference between them. Since Lane makes both this must be a lower priced CB. How that helps! ??
Just got some of this, but I find it a bit harsh for my taste. I have been smoking Lane BCA, and will likely mix the B&B 50:50 with BCA to use it up. The B&B isn't bad, but just not to my preferences. I have tried Lanes BLWB and found it milder than the B&B, although I also ended up mixing it with BCA.
The tobacco smelled great in the bag...a liitle bland for me...I like the 1Q much better
This stuff is absolutely awesome. No bite what so ever. Burns perfect to a white ash. Stays lit. The room note and flavor are both outstanding. Truly delicious Try some of this stuff. You will not be disappointed
I’d recommend this blend to anyone who loves burley. It has a very satisfying flavor, a superb room note, and it will not bite. The nuttiness of burley is prominent and is complimented by the sweetness of the Cavendish. The moisture content is just right and the tobacco burns well. It is truly a pleasure.
This is very similar to Scotty's Butternut burley. It's also quite a bit cheaper. I think that it might stay lit a little bit better. the smell from the bag is identical and I think this is probably my favorite smoke. The lane rlp-6 is also a bit similar. If you are looking for variety, I would recommend this one, john bull english and c'est la vie. I have about 10 varieties of pipe tobacco and I would say these are my favorites, probably with rlp-6 being a close 4th.
