Lane Toasted Black Cavendish

Lane Limited's Toasted Black Cavendish is fundamentally their BCA before the added top note. Premium Green River Burley is cased and toasted to produce a cool-smoking tobacco with a smooth brown sugar note. It can be an enjoyable repast by itself, but it works well as a blending component when you're looking to reduce the temperature of a blend while adding a subtle sweetness.

Long Time User
I have been smoking Toasted Black Cavendish blended with BCA for over 30 years. Never had a complaint, always compliments, about the pleasant aroma. Popes and Cigars has been a reliable supplier.

My favorite cavendish.
This toasted black Cavendish was so delicious and just perfect. Dark and toasty yet somewhat light on the inhale. I absolutely loved it.

Toasted black cavendish: very dry
I was very disappointed with my purchase of the "Toasted black cavendish." It is extremely dry and the cut is way too small that it actually affects the packing of pipe.. Very disappointed

Next Level Up...
IMO.I enjoy the Dryness of this Cavendish blend, nothing at all overly sweet or sticky about this smoke, seems to be a more thoughtful, Mature iteration of this Tabacco.I'm thinking of spicing it up with a pinch of Latakia next go around.

BCA IS MUCH BETTER
Somewhat flavorless and not all that black. When properly hydrated it smokes smooth enough, but doesn't seem to have that much flavor. I may try to use it for some blending to see if I can find a better use for it than smoking it straight. When I want a "go to" black cavendish, I'll continue to order BCA from Pipes and Cigars in one pound bags. (I have found their customer service to be unparalled, by the way!)

Super Dry
Works fine with a moister tobacco to up the flavor, but, was so dry it was dusty. Still a good deal from P&C and nothing a moisture button can't fix.

Great flavor and aroma
People never realize I'm smoking a pipe until they see it, first they say things like "I smell cookies." or "What smells like vanilla?" Great flavor not overly sweet or saturated with casing so that you don't taste the tobacco. Not at all bland but also not too complex. I taste caramel and vanilla but I'm not an expert. I just know what I like and I like this. It burns very cool and doesn't get wet at all. An all around pleasant experience.
