Lane Virginia

Lane Limited's Virginia is a matured Virginia consisting of red and orange flue-cured that has a naturally toasty, bready flavor and a toned-down sweetness as compared to the bright variety. This is less tangy than Lane Limited's Bright Virginia as well, making it a remarkable blending component in virtually any kind of mixture, but can be enjoyed on its own when you want something smooth and not too sweet.

EXCELLENT BLENDER
Excellent for blending. High quality. I use several Lane blends and find they are all quality tobacco. Highly recommend.

Lane Virgina
Lane Virginia is the second Lane tobacco I have ordered. A month or so ago I ordered Lane red raspberry. Although a very tasty smoke, red raspberry did have a few drawbacks (see my review). That’s why I radiated only four stars-a B+. I Have Rated Ln., Virginia for stars as well-a B-. Virginia is a soft smoke, but it does have a bit of a bite. Unlike the red raspberry, which is quite moist, Virginia is rather dry. That means it lights easily, stays let, but burns a bit quickly. I decided to do what Pipes & Cigars recommended-mixed the Virginia with something else, in my case, the red raspberry. Mixed at a 1:: 1 ratio, the mixture is an excellent smoke that I easily rate 5 stars. A couple of days ago I ordered the lane dark red, cherry-flavored dark Cavendish. I am eagerly awaiting my shipment to arrive because the dark red was what I wanted originally, but had to settle for the red raspberry because the dark red was out of stock. I happen to be a real fan of anything that is cherry flavored. I most certainly will review the dark red once I’ve had a chance to try it by itself and in combination with the Virginia. I was a confirmed prints Albert smoker until I tried the Lane combination. I do not see myself going back to smoking prints Albert regularly. I suspect the dark red in combination with the Virginia will become my primary tobacco.

Virginia
As you may think this is a perfect blending component, so i am not going to talk about that because it varies with what you mix it into. What i would say is on its own not bad at all, i am not a huge fan of lane products sadly because their aromatics rely on casing and topping vs the leaf taste. This one is a classic virginia, can smoke hot if pushed but all in all very decent burn and natural sweetness. No one is a fan of its room note but thats very normal with straight blends, the ribbon cut make it easy to pack and burn. The price? I dont think you can go wrong as similar quality blending/straight virginia go for higher price. Is it mind blowing god no, but is it worth trying i say if you like virginia why not. Al janabi

Blending virginia
Perfect shag cut. Blends well with other tobacco. Can be smoked alone. Nice grassy and hay notes. Perfect moisture.

Pure Tobacco Taste
I tend to get a haylike taste with all natural Virginia's and Burley's and bought this for blending. I must say this one is good on its own, and would be worth a shot, if you like pure tobacco taste.

A good blender
One of three Lane Virginias, with Mv1000 & Golden Va. All good for blending but this one goes well with Perique (~ 10%),Turkish (eg Izmir or Turkish leaf)and/or Latakia. OK on its own, too.
