To me this is pretty much a real fancy version of 1Q, but I like it. Smooth finish, nice light taste, and a really pleasant room note for the non-smokers around you.

Purchase this tobacco on a whim and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. The room note is exactly what I was looking for. It smokes cool and the taste is consistent from beginning to end with little bite. If this was sold in bulk this would be a daily smoke for me. Will definitely be buying this again.

I love this tobacco! I love the aroma (and so does my wife). It’s a very mellow and easy to smoke tobacco. It is that one I come back to every time I smoke. It burns nice and cool and very evenly. Wild hare is that tobacco that after you’ve smoked something else you want to finish the day with it just to relax. I bought it smoked a couple of bowls and have now ordered more. If you’re new to pipe tobacco I say this is one you need to try and I’m sure if you’re experienced you’ll love it as well. My everyday smoke for sure.

I’m a new pipe smoker and have tried several tobaccos but this one is by far my favorite. No tongue bite, doesn’t burn hot and has a great smell and taste. If you’re frustrated because you can’t taste what others do in tobacco than try this one. It’s a winner for sure. It’s the first tobacco that gave me a true experience that has me hooked on pipe smoking. It deserves more attention in my option.

I’m very new to pipe smoking, while scrolling through I seen the tin and like it so I bought it. Once it arrived I opened the tin and was immediately greeted with a wonderful aroma, I couldn’t wait to smoke it. This tobacco lights nicely, has a great taste, and more importantly my wife loves the room note! Of the few blends I’ve tried this one is number one!

I bought this for the tin, and bought more for the tobacco! It's mild with great flavor and room note. I recommend this to everyone and will be purchasing more!

Unremarkable tin note. Fairly dry. Sweet on the tongue. Tastes like cotton candy.

From the tin art I wouldn’t have expected such a sweet, mild easy smoke...we have a yard full of large jack rabbits (wild hares)...skittish, fast and well camouflaged. The tobacco, on the other hand is a bit timid but quite nice in its easy mildness. The freshly arrived tin waited for me overnight. I opened it early today and was greeted by a very pleasant tin aroma, subtle and sort of flowery, moisture content seemed a little high but proved to be just fine in a small London made billiard. It packed easily, lit reluctantly but stayed lit well. It’s a very pleasant slow smoke with a friendly room note and excellent flavor. No discerable bite, cool pipe, go slowly. I’d give it high marks for new pipe smokers or those wanting an easy morning start. Dry bowl at the end with fine gray ash. Easy clean up with one pipe cleaner. It’s a fine ribbon cut and could be used by the RYO fans...it’s not a shag. Yesterday I got a hand rolling demo by a very young man who decided to try some of my Acadian Gold in a cigarette. It worked fine, he’s an expert roller and liked the tobacco. The Gold is a fine ribbon cut but not quite as fine as Wild Hare...A very likable and mild blend. Wife says OK.

The smoking is pleasant but the tobacco contains too many stems

I have recently started smoking a pipe so I will try to give a short and sweet review that will be able to help others in my position. This tobacco has a slight sweetness that I think comes out from the vanilla notes. On the exhale I get a lot of what I would consider a Christmas taste. I definitely taste spices and it almost resembles a Christmas ginger cookie. I've been told it has an amazing room note and the tin note smells sort of like alcoholic chocolates. Great first buy.

Really great smoke. Tin note has hint of vanilla, and room note is pleasant and mild. No tongue bite and burns cool and smooth all the way. Will be getting more. You should try it!

Great Mild Easy Smoke, Perfect for Fishing, Sweet

I found nothing to complain about in this tin. It packs easily, lights quickly, burns to the bottom of the bowl and my wife absolutely loves for me to smoke it (a bonus that all married pipe smokers will understand).

I smoked a pipe in college and just recently started again, was definitely out of practice as far as packing a pipe well, I was pleased with this blend in that it was forgiving of my novice fumbling and I was able to smoke a couple bowls without any relights at all, unlike some of the other tins of tobacco I bought which have been a little frustrating. This blend smells and taste good, smokes cool, nice room note. I kept going back to it and now its the only tin that's empty.

This is by far the best aromatic tobacco I have ever tried. I has a very rich and mellow tobacco forward flavor with sweet vanilla undertones. I like it best straight out of the tin in a cob. With a little dry time it also performs well in briar. The room note and aroma are delicious. No complaints. Will definitely keep this in stock for a nice dessert sweet option when not smoking full English.

Far exceeded my expectations. Taste was mild and pleasant. Decided to NOT use a filter on the pipe for which this is very easy on the palette.

I bought a tin of WILD HARE by Lane Limited. WH is very smooth and enjoyable, both for the puffer, and anyone within smelling distance. It has a slightly sweet warm fresh cookie taste and smell. To make a long story short, it will suffice to say that I smoked the entire tin in less than a week. ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars and yes I will buy it again. Thank You, Alix °

My tobacco has been 1-Q, Trout Stream, Prince Albert, (blast from the past, neighbor smoked it, brings me back to my youth). Each time re order, I try a new brand. I read the reviews on W.H. and bought a tin. My smoking habits are, I usually have 1 bowl week nights when I get home from work, while I'm "tinkering", or when I'm fishing. But on weekends I'll have 3-4 a day. W.H. is the kind of tobacco that you can smoke all day and not get "trash mouth", or tongue bite, (I suffer from that cuz I'm, puff, puff, puff when I workin)! It's a mild all day smoke to be sure. My spouse likes the room note. I have 2 pipes just for this tobacco cuz I read it "ghosts" a pipe. Will it be my "go to tobacco? I don't think so, 1-Q and Trout Stream is, but this one is sure in the mix for weekends! I just ordered 3 more tins! Happy hunting! Joe

I had every reason to expect good things from Lane, but I had no idea Wild Hare would be as pleasant as it is. Subtle flavor. Lights up and stays lit and is easy on the tongue. Satisfying clouds swirl around my head and the room note is super!

This is an outstanding blend that I feel needs to be recommended for wider audience. I should start this review with a disclaimer that I am by no means an aromatic smoker. In fact, it is the only aromatic in my current rotation of straight Virginias and Virginia-Perique blends and an odd Scottish mixture. My reason for purchasing a tin of Wild Hare was wanting to branch out a little, get a change of pace, and gain some personal experience with aromatics that tend to get a lot of bad press. I guess I got lucky because to my palate, Wild Hare is nothing short of spectacular! Why so? To begin with the practicalities, it is one of the best burning tobaccos I have ever tried. I began cautiously by drying it out for half an hour before every bowl. It takes the light and burns with minimum of matches to the very end. Clean, dry, and pleasant. In fact, I have come to the habit of smoking it straight out of the tin without any airing time - something I rarely do with any of my regular blends. The results have been consistent every single time. Like all aromatics it most certainly ghosts the pipe so having one dedicated is a must. Mine is a diminutive Danish Rhodesian with a very conical chamber. But the ghost it leaves is almost worth a star by itself. It simply smells delicious! What about the taste? One often hears of overly sweet, artificial tasting aromatics. To my palate, the Wild Hare is the very opposite of this characterization. The vanilla is there, with subtle sugars in the background. But it is by no means overpowering the gentle Cavendish-Virginia that makes up the bulk of this blend. Each sip is creamy smooth with a pleasant lingering aftertaste. Not an everyday smoke for me, certainly. But like a good dessert wine or a gelato, the Wild Hare that never fails to bring a smile when I do reach for it. I can thus wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanting to venture off the beaten path of unflavored blends for an occasional treat.

I smoke a pipe to relax and to enjoy the taste and to encourage maybe some one new to try the hobby. In my opinion you cannot do this with a traditional English blend. Wild Hare is at the other end on the spectrum. Very light, slightly aromatic and splendid room note. There is nothing overpowering or harsh here. Definitely worth the price.

I have ordered this a few times and every time it never disappoints smoking is very smooth and mellow and my wife loves the room note that it has she describes as a rich low tobacco flavor

It is light with pronounced Virginias. It seemed to have more depth than other similar blends.

So smooth , smells great I have people often compliment the smell, taste is amazing , no bite. Will buy regularly
