This is my go-to tobacco!
I have several brands/varieties of tobaccos in my rotation, and most of them are quite good. But this one takes the cake. It has a great aroma out of the tin, isn't too dry or too moist, packs well, lights well, burns well, and (most importantly) tastes fabulous and has a nice room note. This is the tobacco I keep coming back to again and again. I've tried a few of the other 7 Seas flavors (Gold and Royal) and they were just OK. But the Original white tin rocks! Highly recommended.

This pipe tobacco makes me happy
This is a nice easy comfortable smoke. It is not the most challenging or sophisticated (neither am I). I enjoy trying some bolder smokes but I really enjoy finishing off with Mac B 7 'cause it just good. It is easy to light and keep going, has a mild and pleasant taste and smell and doesn't leave my mouth burnt and nasty tasting.

Its not quite sure what it wants to be...
Obviously a quality tobacco. In bulk its not as wet as a a McBaren tinned offering, so it smoked well with only a bit of drying time. However its not quite an aromatic but not truly a non-aromatic. I can't discern exactly what the top note is but its there. Not an unpleasant smoke, though! YMMV!

One of my new favorites for sure. Super smooth.

One good smoke
My first good tobacco was Captain Black original. I played around with others but kept going back. I still looked for the dessert smoke that has a pleasant aroma and wasn’t too harsh on the tongue but Captain Black was my time tested everyday smoke. Then I read a review that said 7 Seas regular was not just another Captain Black wannabe but was better in all categories. Could this be true? I bought a large tin and was amazed. I took out my favorite briar that I’d cleaned about a week prior and fired up a bowl. After the second light it burned completely. Take into consideration that I’m a steady puffer. The flavor was excellent, no bite and burned cool. One of my friends commented “that smells good”. 7 Seas regular is now now my go to tobacco. I still keep some Captain Black Copper around just for a change. Now if I could only find a cherry flavor to impress me like 7 Seas Regular. But alas, I think I’m expecting too much.

Ancient curmudgeon that I am,
Ancient curmudgeon that I am, it may just be faulty memory. Or prap's worn out senses are to blame, but my recollection of this Mac Baren blend, had me anticipating a more robust flavour.

Not what I remembered...
4.25/5 When I first began smoking a pipe, this blend really caught my attention. It smoked cool down to a fine ash and was well-balanced, fruit forward, light and approachable. It still is, but my taste has emigrated from Aromatica to Old England. Even so, my memory still holds this blend dear as a fine example of a well-crafted aromatic.

Excellent! Exceptional mellow smoke. Burns well and has a great room aroma.

Enjoyable aromatic with no bite.
I purchased this from a recommendation I saw on P&C's website. Mild, vanilla flavored tobacco that is reminiscent of Captain Black. I happen to like this more than the CB. It is a little moist from the bulk bag, but it does light well and burns well, but requires a few relights. Drying would improve the relights. There is no bite even with vigorous puffing. Room note is acceptable. Could be an all day tobacco.

Great service and great product. Placing order again soon

Taste really good, real easy to smoke throughout the day. It also leaves a nice note in room that disappears much quicker then others I've noticed. That can be good or bad depending on how you view it but I highly recommend this 'bacco

Standard to Judge other Tobaccos
I'm fairly new to pipes and am still trying a variety of pipe tobaccos. After smoking a full bowl of each of the MacBaren 7 Seas (minus Red because I don't like cherry), I tossed out the other tobaccos I had. The bar has been raised!

7seas regular
Had to let it set in a box to get the moister out. Not a big deal but time consuming, I guess you don't want some old dry stuff from the store. Burns with a delightful aroma, and nothing but clean white ash at the end. My daughter even likes it, and that's saying something. close to CB regular but not quite.

Very nice!
Awesome tobacco. It has, what was to me, a nice chocolate/cocoa aroma out of the tin. It packs well, burns well, and has a nice, smooth flavor when smoked. I dig it, and will definitely purchase again. It also makes me want to try some of the other 7 Seas blends.

Well Rounded Aromatic
I'm about 4 months in to smoking pipes regularly but I have covered much ground in a short amount of time. I come from an extensive background in premium cigars but was looking for some variety and as of late have been trying mostly aromatics but a few English blends here and there also. I recommend 7 Seas Regular to any beginner pipe smoker and also to anyone who enjoys an aromatic. I have tried about a dozen different pipe tobacco blends (all well known blends or highly rated) and this is sticking out as one of my favorites so far. The taste is hard to describe but there is a definite soft sweetness to it and is overall pleasant. I tend to sway towards blends that have more flavor and although this one is still on the light side in my opinion it is a good bit more flavorful than many other aromatics I have tried. I ordered several ounces of it in bulk and I'm glad I did. It arrived with relatively perfect moisture levels, is easy to pack, burns great and is a pleasantly light smoke for any time of day. Next time I order I will try out the handsome looking tin it comes in.

A very solid blend
It is pretty obvious that this is a blend meant to compete with Captain Black Regular. And I think it certainly does a good job of it. Packs well, stays lit, and isn't overly wet. It is a mild smoke in both flavor and room note. You do get creamy vanilla and hints of cocoa and caramel from it. If you tend to smoke fast, there can be a bit of tongue bite in my experience, so smoke it slow.

A great aromatic!
I was given a tin of 7 Seas regular as a gift a few weeks ago, and I have had a hard time smoking anything else since. Smooth but flavorful. Packs and smokes like a dream. Room note is good enough I am not just allowed to smoke this inside, but in the living room with the wife present. That's never happened before. I normally smoke a pretty wide variety of aromatics, and this one seems to be in a different class as far as quality goes. Bite free as well. Highly recommended to any aromatic smoker. (Review is for the tinned version. Haven't tried the bulk.)

Customer Testimonials
I have smoked both the Royal and Regular in this blend and prefer the Regular. It is a little more smooth with less topping. It is worth keeping on hand.
This had a bit of a sweet salty, buttery rum taste, which set in instantly. I like it, as a beginner, it's one of my go-to blends. I can't wait to try the tinned version.
I introduced my best friend to pipe smoking, and when we sat down to put an order in, this is one of the blends we selected. Pouch note is an excellent kind of buttery rum I would say. Smokes well enough, though it can get a little on the hot side. the flavor is hard to describe for me. It seems to be a mixture of a light vanilla creme with plenty of sugar. Very smooth when sipped, I would definitely suggest this blend to someone.
