Club Blend has an amazing genuine tobacco flavor without any noticeable casing. Smokes well and dry with the folded method. Only rich hay and bread like flavors without being to strong. No noticable tongue bite though I may be more conditioned than others.

Background:I smoke English and aromatics with light casings that still have a good tobacco taste but please others.
This I thought this would be a good afternoon lightly fruity blend for hot summer afternoons, But it is more or a natural fruitiness from Virginia tobacco a bit of spice from what I think is dark fired cavendish with Mac Baren's Maple syrup and water casing which I do enjoy quite a bit. This is a very interesting blend and i will update this as I go though a bit more of it.

Club Blend is a classic Mac Baren roll cake that has been around since 1955, and has been a favorite of mine for decades. It’s on the mild side, and smokes better if one dries it out a bit. It would be worth it to age some tins: I once got some old tins from the 1980s and the depth of flavor was much more intense.

Easy Smoking

This is a nice easy smoking tasty tobacco, the black Cavendish seems to be nicely dispersed throughout each coin and the Virginia is there too of course. This is a cousin to Dark Twist, except is seems to have less of the dark fired leaf in it. it's quite tasty, not spicy at all and burns well. I rubbed about 4 coins out and let them dry for about 20 mins. before loading up my pipe, I find that doing this with most Mac Baren blends staves off that dreaded tongue bite. I'm going to cellar this to see what a little age does to it.

All of the MacBaren roll cakes are good, and Club Blend was my favorite for many years. These days I’m a little more fond of Dark Twist, but Club Blend is still high on my list of preferred tobaccos.
