I've been smoking a pipe since 1962 and MacBaren's tobaccos since 1972, when I lived in Scandinavia. I smoked mostly English-type tobaccos before that. I buy other Danish tobaccos to mix it up a bit ,but my favorite for the last 25 -30 years and been MacBaren's Scottish Mixture or Symphony (marketed as Harmony in Europe. There is a very good chance that I will die smoking MacBaren's Scottish Mix. And be happy about it!

This is one of my favorites, to me is a bit “peppery” but I’m not one to say hints of this and tones of that. I just know I like it. It was a anniversary special and was supposed to come with an ashtray. Didn’t get the ashtray but no worries.

A nice mildly sweet old school taste. The tobacco taste is a mixture of burley and virginia with no bite. Mild strength. I need to be over looking the Firth of Forth.

Enjoying this blend very much, a mild aero with no bite or noticeable toppings. This is a good balanced smoke for those who enjoy something between a light English and a mild areomatic.
