Mac Baren Classics Virginia Flake

Excellent virginal tobacco. Very light and smooth.

General Corn Cob. 3 flakes, twirled and stuffed, LOVELY smoke. 2nd bowl in another large cob wasn't that great, a a bit warm on the tongue. Taste was off too. Odd. Must be the pipe. All pipes are idiosyncratic.

This is one of the best Virginia tobaccos on the market today. No bite, no burn, just plan on smoking it all day long without issue. This Virginia is great quality and I like it as much as my beloved Orlik flake. See ya in ol' Virginia!

Mac Baren Virginia Flake is easier on the aromatics and flavors but still has some bite.

This is my go to flake tobacco. It;s mellow and slightly sweet, another all day smoke.Mac Baren's makes some the best virgiinia flakes out there and this is one of the best. I always like to keep a few tins on hand.

A BIT EDGY BUT SMOKED WELL. STRAIGHT FORWARD VIRGINIA.

Mac Baren also makes a pure Virginia flake but for some reason this one that is just called virginia flake is so much sweeter. You must try this because it doesnt last very long. As soon as you open it, put it to your nose. It's as if you opened a bottle of the best honey ever. That's how sweet it is. The scent of honey wafts out of the tin. Everything Mac Baren makes is amazing but this Virginia is just amazing!!!

A very good tobacco. Sweet Virginia taste; little, if any, bite; good room note. One of my "go-to" flakes. Similar to the old Capstan, but reasonably priced.

This is another Great smoke from Mac Baren.

This Virginia style flake is so sweet and delicious. When I open a tin of it, I get punched in the face with the scent of fruity honey. Once opened and air cured for a week or 2 it opens up and is so sweet and delicious, just writing about it makes me crave it. Everything Mac Baren comes out with is pure perfection.

Mac Baren's entire line is top notch. This Virginia Flake is the sweetest Virginia I have ever had. This is what i think of when i think of Virginias. When you first open a tin you are hit in the face with a delicious scent of honey. After that I cannot wait to pack a pipe. There is no bite although it is super sweet, mellow and just amazing to smoke. This and Mac Baren's HH old dark fired are my 2 favorite tobaccos period.

Burns cool and fairly clean. Excellent flavor in a fairly mild fashion. Very pleasant smoke.

I can't get enough of this flake. Very subtle, no-nonsense Virginia with the slightest hint of flavor. I like simple tobaccos. Cool burning but watch your draw. I can smoke 2-3 bowls in a row without being overwhelmed. Definitely buying more.

Real, inexpensive, and the base where it all begins.

A good, solid MacB's standby (Navy Flake being my favorite). Good, high quality Virginia Flake, not too strong, not too light. Always try to keep a tin around. I don't do nuances, or any other such tripe, so I don't detect any flavors of buttered scones or toe jam. To me there's only 2 types of tobacco....1-it tastes good.....2-it tastes bad. MacB's Virginia Flake rates a solid 1 - it tastes good.
