Macanudo cigars are well-known for their consistency. Now they extend that trait to their boldest cigars to date - Macanudo Inspirado Red.
They begin with a silky, chestnut-colored Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that conceals a Nicaraguan binder and a core of long-fillers from Nicaragua (from Esteli and the volcanic island of Ometepe) and Honduras (Jamastran Valley). Macanudo Inspirado Red is a full-bodied delight with notes of cocoa, earth, and wood backed up with plenty of spices and black pepper. If you've stayed away from Macanudo because your tastes run toward more robust cigars, we think that Inspirado Red will change your mind.
For me this is one of those smokes that are good just when you feel it's time for THAT cigar...not to be smoked too often. This is a medium/full strength smoke (in my taste) which you just don't want to smoke every day. It's for 'that' time, whatever it is...maybe smoked during 'quiet time' after a successful day (with suitable ethanol-based lubricant for added ump).
