MATCH Kentucky Mix

Now I'm not a smoker, but using for remembrances of my grandfather! I put the tobacco on a burning disk and it really scents up the room. He used to smoke Kentucky Club and this brings back the memories! So can't say if the taste is what it should be, but sure does smell the same.

This is a full-flavored but mild burley aromatic blend. It is lightly flavored, tobacco-forward and doesn’t bite unless you drag on it really hard (so don’t do that!). I really like it and will order more. I also tried the “Town and Country” version and liked it as well. It is stronger and more flavored and sweet, but may bite. I may try mixing them together.

An everyday smoke for me, use to smoke Ky Club Aromatic years ago. Excellent match. Wish you would stock the Match Ky Club Mild.

Better cut for me than Country Doctor, taste is similar. Pretty well satisfied but still trying to match Carter Hall.

According to my long-time pipe smoker this mix although close to kentucky club is too "bitey" for his taste.

Tastes & smokes just like I remember from years ago.

Back in the day, I used to smoke Kentucky Club Mixture because it was my dad's favorite pipe tobacco so naturally, wanting to be like dad, I smoked it. I later moved on to less aromatic tobaccos, but when I saw the Match Kentucky Mixture from Pipe and Cigars I decided to give it a try to see if it was close to the original. It's pretty close. The original is a tad sweeter from what I can remember, though I believe the Match is much smoother. Overall, a good match and the price is great.

I recently ordered several of the Match Blends. Keep in mind that it has been some time since I smoked any of the originals but all of ;the blends I ordered were very similar or exactly like I remembered them.

Almost a choclatey taste to it. Never realy noticed the perique.

Not a lot of taste with this one--packs good--stays lit-burns faster than I like--some Latakia might really perk this up--but too many other choices for me

I really liked this blend and will be buying more.

I love this blend, smooth and sweet, old school. I remember this aroma from my early childhood, it is pleasant and comforting for me. Pairs excellent with Buffalo Trace Bourbon.

Very close to the original

Match Kentucky Mix is nothing special. I would not recommend this or order it again.

There is nothing special about this burley based blend. The perique doesn't stand out, the oriental is smothered by the other tobaccos --I just taste toasted burley with some virginia. I'd prefer American Spirit Perique or Camel Turkish cigarette over this pipe tobacco in a pipe.

Not an overly complex blend, but a nice change of pace. You don't get a ton of flavor from any one component, but a nice balanced and subtle intermixing. Almost a Mexican hot chocolate flavor of chocolate, and spices. Worth a shot for sure.
