MATCH Middleton Cherry

Like the aroma and it likes my pipes

It wasn't quite as I remember it, I think the cut is different. I don't remember the exact blend but it was close. Kind of like my long-time favorite, Flying Dutchman, the match was a little off. I think it is good to try to recreate some blends, so keep it up.

I used to buy Middleton's Cherry until they stopped blending it (the same as with their Apple blend), then I discovered "Match". I like it because I can smoke it in small crowds with women present and not get any complaints. I enjoy it because it is fairly smooth and it isn't that expensive..(I am retired and live on a small budget). I have been smoking a pipe since the early '60's and this is a blend that I am very comfortable with !

Sell is great easy smoke. I will buy more.

Cherry Middle match is good enough, but it is not Middleton's Cherry Blend, which I miss.

John Middleton Cherry Was The FIRST Pipe Tobacco I EVER Smoked. The MATCH Cherry Is OK, But NOT Quite The SAME😳🙄. It DOESN’T Have The Same Room Note, But QUITE A Bit MORE Bite🙄. It’s Satisfactory, But NOT Quite THERE🤷🏼‍♂️.

I find it to be mellow, however, it lacks the cherry aroma.

Middleton's Cherry Blend was the best non-cherry, cherry blend in the history of pipe tobacco. I believe that both this and P&Cs Mid-Town Cherry are the same product and both are as close as you'll come to the original. They aren't as close as the Walnut matches, which are 99% spot on, but they get close enough. The cut is not the same as the original and is not as easy to scoop fill your pipe as the original was. Flavor is good and there isn't a lot of cherry here and that's a good thing. There is real tobacco flavor and for me, baking spices as best as I can describe. This, like the original, will bite if smoked to fast, so take your time. If you are new and want to learn how to smoke a pipe, give this a try. There is no better tobacco on earth with a cup of coffee than Middleton's Cherry Blend and these match blends are nearly as good. With the original gone, what choice do we have? But thanks to Sutliff and P&C, we can get pretty darn close.

Not really impressed not much aroma when opening the bag. Very bland neutral taste but seems to smoke evenly and cool. To me personally, while I have never been able to detect the aroma of what I am smoking while smoking I can usually walk into an enclosed area a few minutes later and detect the aroma of my tobacco, with this nothing. I actually took a 1gal. freezer bag and inflated it with smoke and upon waking up the next morning after 12 hours without me smoking anything any cherry aroma was so faint as to be undetectable. All and all it is a pleasant enough smoke but as far as a match for the original "Middleton"s Cherry Blend" as an areomatic it falls short

The cut is longer than Middleton's, but the flavor is comparable. The longer cut actually has a nice, consistent burn.

Nice, similar to Middleton's which I smoked until they stopped blending it ! It is mild enough to smoke around people who normally don't like tobacco smell and doesn't leave a strong taste in your mouth !

This tastes very similar to the original and the aroma is 'very cherry' ! I'm enjoying it, thank you!

Too harres. thought it was lines cherry? Something i bought eariler.?check that out. Otherwise. ..love your service. I order wrong. Its OK though will order again

I have smoked Middleton's Cherry and I think this is a very good imitation. Packs well, smokes dry and smells great!

This blend captures the afterthought of cherry the original had. The tobaccos are a very good match but the cut is loose. This is a good blend worth smoking in it's own right, but, it doesn't have the personality of the original. Just don't be expecting a typical cherry aromatic. The original is a much more serious tobacco than it is given credit for. 4 honest stars.

I was really dissapointed in this tobacco! No pouch aroma and no taste what so ever! I gave it 2 stars because it was nice and fresh!

VERY GOOD BLEND

I think the blender forgot that this was supposed to be a Cherry Blend. There is no hint of Cherry flavor in this blend.

Could detect not a hint of cherry, either in the pouch or the smoke. Very disappointing. Smoke was dry, tasteless, hot. Tossed it after two bowls!

Still waiting for the rest of my order to come

It's cherry colored but has no cherry aroma or flavor. It was also a little too dry. I didn't hate it, but there's no reason for me to buy another bag.
