McClelland Collector Anniversary

One of the best if not the best i have smoked. The blending is perfection. The sweet virginias and the latakia complement each other perfectly.Highly recommended!

This is one of my favorites. YMMV What I don't get... is why, if you don't like Latakia, you rate the tobacco poorly? Don't say a tobacco with something in it you don't like is 1 star. That makes no sense. Just don't smoke it. I love Latakia, and this is a really nice balance of Va and Lat. As I said, YMMV (your milage may vary) or to each their own. The tobacco is only as good as the appreciation of the smoker. But since all Lats are displeasing to some, one should know that, avoid said tobacco, and stick with what is enjoyed. It's kind of like saying that a good Rocky Road ice cream is terrible because it has nuts in it.

I'm not a huge Lat fan but I do smoke it from time to time.This was gifted to me and I must say,it's an all day smoke.I already am a fan of McClellend and this just adds to my liking.Yes it's mild but,that's what I like about it. Very delightful taste ,just enough balance of both the Latakia and Virginia in my opinion.Not overwhelming.I will definitely keep this in my rotation so...........please don't ever get rid of it.

This is one of those tobaccos that tended to grow on me as we got more acquainted. My first bowl I thought was boring and one dimensional. The Virginia tobacco is there, very clear; and the Latakia, also evident, but the two seemed 'separate but equal' somehow. Both tastes are there, but nothing connecting them. But as the tin aged, the smoke melded, and the two shook hands and became friends. It's a delightful smoke, definitely not an English nor Oriental blend, sweeter than either of those, with the Latakia almost amplifying the sweetness of the Virginias. When I had smoked the last bowl from the tin, I was glad that this blend is still available. Very much worth a try if you like Latakia.

Tried this blend, because I have been told it is a good VA blend with just a sprinkle of Latakia. Still it's too much for me. I love McClelland VA blends, but this one was not for me.
