Yenice Agonya is a blend of superb Yenidje (Yenice is the Turkish spelling for the legendary leaf) with matured Virginias, resulting in a mellow and very smooth flavor with a gentle, pleasant aroma. Since Yenidje is usually paired with Latakia, this blend gives you the opportunity to taste the real flavor of the "Queen of Tobaccos".

Just returned to the pipe after 30 years. Quit smoking cigarettes (Balkan sobrainie straights were my number one) about 25 years ago and have been dreaming of THAT flavor ever since.
Well friends here it is. This is the stuff ""yenice" without the heavy overtones of latikia etc. not that Latakia yenidji blends aren't great in their own right, but instead of a condiment the yenice is front & center.
No bite - no aftertaste - just a delight from start to finish. Stays lit all the way to the bottom.
Whether in one of my old pipes resurrected or the new basic briar I picked up here it is great from the first puf to the last.
I was also a BSOSM fan in the bowl & there are some great new imaginings - but - we're just talking Yenice here & if you want that sweet exotic creamy smoke of old I say again THIS IS IT!

I honestly didn't know what to expect. Mild and pleasant flavor, took an extra long lunch to enjoy St. Patrick's day. Did have a bit of an unsuspecting punch. Burned well and slow. Worth trying if you are looking for something different.

I was not impressed with this tobacco; it is decidedly sauced and the casing overwhelms the delicate flavors of the rare leaf. Why bother at all? I am largely a consumer of English style tobaccos made in Europe and this is nothing even close. I will say that the tobacco burns cool until the last drop, but you will have to contend with that American aftertaste that lingers in your mouth.
