Middleton Cherry

This tobacco is very close to what Sugar Barrel was like in taste and burning characteristics. I want to point out to you,,,, there is NO CHERRY in this blend!!! It is named just like another Middleton blend "Walnut". Cherry Blend is actually named after Cherry street in Philadelphia! There is no "zesty" cherry flavors whatsoever. It is Burley and typical Middleton Virginia specks and a sugary sweet topping. This is a good cheapy Codger blend. To be honest I like the discontinued sugar barrel better, but this isn't bad. It has an ok room note and the taste is good. My advice is to smoke it in a cheap Codger pipe, IE Dr. Grabow or a MM corn Cob. They just go together for some reason. Use a filtered pipe!l tongue bite is there if you smoke this in an unfiltered pipe!

Smooth and sweet, Middleton Cherry burns well in my pipe.

For a drugstore tobacco I'll say this.. Its right up there with the others as far as an all around enjoyable smoke. I've smoked this Middleton Cherry on and off for 25+ years, along with many other premium pipe tobaccos, and every once in a while I'll just go back to the Ol Middleton cherry and sit back and smoke the burley and virginias that I love.

classic favorite

This is a pretty good drugstore blend. It has a light cherry aroma in the pouch, but I only detect a light cherry flavor in the retrohale thru the nose. I can't detect cherry flavor on my tongue. If you like burley otc blends then you may like this one!
