Missouri Meerschaum Cobbit Elf

Missouri Meerschaum's Cobbit Elf is a tallish acorn shape with a dark-stained finish. It comes fitted with an elongated vulcanite stem for a cooler smoke and greater durability. Adding to its longevity is the fact that the bottom of the bowl is fitted with a hardwood plug, The Elf Cobbit 7.5" semi-churchwarden is a great pipe that was designed to have you feeling relaxed.

One of my favorite pipes!
Was my favorite pipe until I got the shire cobbit. Beautiful and excellent pipe! I plan on getting a 2nd when they're back in stock.

My New Favorite Pipe
Bought the pipe a month ago and it has become my regular daily smoker. I love the feel of it. It's not too long that I can't hold in my mouth without hands and the bowl fits perfectly in the hand for contemplative poses during zoom meetings. Have to say this is one of my new favorite pipes. I like it so much in fact I'm buying the MO Meerschaum Cobbit Shire today hoping that lighting strikes twice with the cobbit line of pipes.

I've always loved Churchwardens; very smooth smoke. I love3 th shape on this one as it's no too long and the corncob itself, makes the flavor of the tobacco light-up(sorry for the pun).

Stem isn't vulcanite
Very happy with this pipe. The stem, though, isn't vulcanite, it's acrylic, just as described on Missouri Meerschaum's website. Feels heavier than the standard MM plastic stems, but not as hard as the lucite stems I have on several briars. It's also tapered, not like in the photo. Maybe there was a production change? Smokes well, large chamber but not too deep to re-light at the end of the bowl.

Great Pipe.
I really enjoy this pipe. I reach for this one over my briars. It’s lightweight and feels good in my hand with a nice cool draw. I will be adding a Softy bit for more comfort. I will definitely order again.

Elf Review
I now have three of these Elfs so that should tell you something. After I grind out the part of the stem that protrudes into the bowl (as I do all cobs) these pipes make the perfect casual, nobody around to bother me, smoke.

This pipe looks good and feels good in the hand. For a cob you can't beat the price and smoke ability. The tobaccos are cooler and hold their flavor well with this longer stem.

A great pipe
This is my wife’s go to pipe for her Lane 1q. She doesn’t smoke all day everyday but she enjoys a pipe in the evening just about every evening. The shape is just right for the comfort of siting and holding. It isn’t the longest churchwarden but this one you will need some longer cleaners if you don’t want to break it down every time. She enjoys a long cool smoke from it. I also now have her enjoying cobs. Missouri Meerschaum hit the nail on the head with this pipe.

This pipe is fantastic. Can't go wrong with any of the cobbit pipes.

Great Smoker
Got the Elf Cobbit to add to my collection and glad I did. Smokes great and has a larger bowl making for a great longer smoke. Great craftmanship on the pipe as is with all MM cobs. Will be adding another to the collection in the future.

Awesome Churchwarden.
Fantastic smoke once it's burned out (like all cobs.) I will be ordering more just like it!

One of my favorites!
This is my fifth one of these and I just love them. I have many other more expensive briar pipes, but I grab the elf cobbit more than any other. Perfect size bowl for a 30 minute smoke, light enough to clench, and the length of the pipe keeps the smoke out of my eyes.

My First Cobbit
So i got this pipe because i love the look and length, I wanted to get a church warden but figured i'd get a semi one to start and well love it, smoking it now actually and is one of my main pipes in rotation

My first cob pipe
This pipe is great to relax with on the porch at the end of the day. I have no complaints with it and plan on buying more.

The King of Cobs
This pipe has a beautiful presentation. The darkening of the cob is both rustic and artistic at the same time. The best part of this pipe for me is the feeling in my hand. It's got a substantial feel to it and my thumb wraps around it nicely. Lastly, it smokes like a dream, right out the gate. This is large bowl with cool smoke that you can enjoy for a long smoke to ease the stress away. I highly recommend it.

MM Elf Cobbit
Great pipe, much better looking in person. Nice large bowl, great in the hand, a pleasure to smoke. I get an hour plus sipping on Virginia flake

First Pipe!
This was my first pipe, and I chose it after recommendations and much research. I've smoked it about 6-7 times now, so am no expert by any means. However, this pipe was very easy to get going, and I believe it makes a great beginner pipe. I love sitting outside and smoking it while listening to audiobooks. The smoke lasts around 45 minutes, which is fine for me. I can clench it for short periods, but would not recommend it for someone who is looking for a clench-able pipe. Cleaning is very easy and I have had no problems so far. Shipping was great, Pipes and Cigars shipped it the very next day and it arrived within the week. The pipe was also cheaper than could be had elsewhere. I will definitely consider doing business with them again!

A new favorite!
Got this as a special pipe for IPSD, and broke it in with some SPC Plum Pudding. I enjoy the draw on this more so than my other cobs, and the semi-warden bit provides a nice, cool, flavorful smoke. It makes for a good 45+ min. smoke for me, and has become a new personal favorite.

Elf Pipe
Great pipe - beautifully made with the full, thick stem. It is a much nicer stem than what is shown in the image on P&C site.

Gurgle - Gurgle
I really like the feel , the shape and the finish. It smokes OK but no mater what tobacco is smoked it gurgles . I don't have this problem with any of my other Mo Meerschaum's . Just this Elf Cobbit. Am I the only one???

Love the feel ,love the shape, however !!
Love the feel ,love the shape, however I have an issue with the way this pipe gurgles. Every single blend I've smoked through this pipe has given me a nasty gergle. Even when I try sipping vary lightly it gurgles.

Good Elf
Nice, large pipe. Much better than photos show.

I bought it AGAIN because I liked the original pretty well: take notice, I didn’t reorder just one!
Easy smoking cob pipe, suitable for those relaxed moments when a person wishes to be alone to contemplate OR, speaking to my own interest, during the deer season, alone at a cabin in the night awaiting sleep, then dawn out on watch. In that context, it’s almost the perfect pipe.

Elf of a good smoke!
Smoked great from the first pack. Big bowl and good feel for that long evening smoke. The stem is a bit tight to remove for cleaning but will be taking care of that soon with a little light sanding.

Cobbit Series ~ Elf~ by MM
Dear Friends, Yes, I recently ordered, received, and have been smoking my Missouri Meerschaum Cobbit Elf Pipe. It is just exactly the right size Bowl for a nice half hour smoke and a perfectly suitable Churchwarden- ish stem. This is a wonderful little pipe and I wouldn't suggested to anyone looking or their first corn cob pipe or as an addition to their collection. Once people realize what great little pipes mm make fear of the price will no doubt go up but for now they are very reasonable. Check out the reviews on YouTube if you need any more information. Five Stars and completely satisfied, Alix ☆☆☆☆☆

Great Cob
Love the Cobbit Elf from Missouri Meerschaum. Took awhile for them to be in stock but that's a testament to it's great looks and smokability. Picked up a couple tins of Orlicks Golden Sliced to go with it. No better time spent after diner.

Awesome cob!!!
One of the best cobs I've smoked. High MM quality as always. Very glad I bought this pipe.

High end smoke in a low cost pipe?
I purchased one of these elf cobbit pipes on sale to dedicate to my favorite flake tobacco and so far I'm extremely pleased at how well it's been performing. The pipe smokes beautifully and the longer stem keeps the smoke nice an cool. Bowl can get a little hot, but that's to be expected due to the type of tobacco (Virginia/perique) I'm smoking through it. You got to love the cobs.. Such great smoking pipes for so little money. They're an absolute must for every pipe smoker's rotation.

Great Cob!!
I have had several cobs in my years and this by far is the best.

Well done!
The MM Cobbit Elf is a well made churchwarden style pipe with a generous size bowl. Unlike many smaller corncob pipes, this pipe can loaded with enough tobacco to last an hour or more, a much appreciated feature. In addition, the stem of this pipe seems to be made of a better, more durable material than the typical corncob plastic stem (more like the vulcanized rubber of more expensive pipes). Well done!

nice pipe needs screen
Nice smooth drawing pipe with only one drawback. It needs a screen to prevent embers from traveling up the stem.

Stylish, good smoking pipe for relaxing in the evening. Like all the pipes from MM it's a winner in my book.

It is what it is...and it's good!
For a corn cob pipe, it smokes pretty cool due to the long stem. A great intermediate pipe!

Elf Cobbit
Great pipe for a great price! Would recommend to any pipe smoker to add to their collection, if not for smoke at least for show. If you're thinking about buying one do it, you can't go wrong here in either price or style.

Stem is bent, other than that it's a pretty good smoke.

Great service and great reviews!
Thanks for the timely service and constant updates on order status. It is greatly appreciated. I have particularly enjoyed the reviews by other pipe smokers. I am an aromatic fan, and the reviews have steered me to your excellent quality and low bite tobacco's!!!!

Nice little pipe. Neat looking, but be careful of the stem, it is easy to brake.

Great Cob!
This is my first MM and I have to say I will definitely be purchasing more of them in the future! I would have given it five stars but it seems rather short for a church warden, otherwise and excellent pipe!!

Really enjoying my Cobbit Elf!
I love my MM Cobbit Elf quite a bit, but then I love my cobs in general. I do have a few observations that may be useful to others. First, the stem is not only longer, but also skinnier than any other MM bit. That makes it very very skinny compared to my briar bits. Some may like this, some may not. To me it has a good mouth feel, and despite it's length, I have no problem at all clenching it for fairly long periods. Oddly, I find this mini-churchwarden more comfortable to clench than my other cobs AND my briars. Because the bit is so skinny, I would advise not twisting the bit as you take it off because it flexes easily and feels like it might crack with a little rough treatment. The churchwarden bit will fit any of MM's filtered pipes and those pipe's bits will fit the Elf's bowl. So if you have several cobs, you can have some fun switching things around. I don't think MM is selling replacement bits for these yet, so be careful until they do. But if you do break it, one of their filtered stems will keep the pipe from being out of commission. Now for the one negative I have to say: This pipe is much more likely to gurgle than any of my other cobs. Well, none of my other cobs gurgle at all, ever, but this one will if you aren't careful. I was going to take a star off for this, but then I realized that it is still less susceptible to gurgling than my Stanwell Vario. And for the pricepoint, it is really an awesome pipe.

My husband enjoys this pipe.....

Ok for the price.
Over all not a bad pipe but not a great pipe. It does smoke cooler than other Cobbs but mine gurgles alot and it almost impossible to get the stem off for cleaning.

Great addition to the Corn Cob line
I have smoked plenty of briars and a few cherry wood pipes. I still come back to corn cobs. Their light weight and sweet smoke make them well worth a try. They are all I smoke now. The addition of these church warden style pipes makes them perfect. I smoke this one, rotated with another Cobbit pipe, every day and it hasn't failed to please.

Terrific Pipe!
I'd wanted a churchwarden pipe for awhile, mostly just to try it, but I didn't want to commit a minimum of $50. So this was a perfect deal and it's a perfect pipe. Perfect draw, perfect weight, perfect bowl size and that terrific little flavor that you get with a corn cob! I love how it looks, how it feels and how it smokes! This is my go to pipe.
