Haven't smoked a cob in a very long time. I've been away from pipe smoking for 10 years and I've missed the flavor and taste. Time to start back up, but start off cheap..

One of the best pipes I own!
I feel like I have moved into the class of the intermediate pipe smoker. I have a few pipes in my collection now and I had the urge to try a cob pipe for the first time. I picked the Missouri Pride as my foray into cob country. I did not expect to be blown away by this pipe but I was none the less. It is by far the easiest pipe I own to pack. The draw is super smooth and now I feel like this little 6 dollar piece smokes better than my more expensive pipes. If you are just getting into pipes or have never tried a cob pipe this is the pipe to buy you will not be let down.

Not bad
I have Missouri Meerschaums but this is a little lower down on the quality. It smokes OK but the bowl is not as heavy or large as the one’s I have bought in the past. And it is a lot less expensive. I would like a larger bowl (I didn’t check the ID and depth of the bowl) but it is well worth the money. Comes with a filter which I like.

Still have my original one, still going strong. Bought a few extras for spares and maybe gifts, pipe is very light weight and is perfect for clinching. Corn cob adds a nice flavor to the smoke, I clean them about every tenth bowl with a few drops of spiced rum. Interesting manufacturing history, II like it more than my more expensive pipes and if it ever gets damaged I'll toss it and grab a new one.

It's a great pipe. Though I wish that it would be more like a churchwarden style, now that would be the ticket. Now guess what, we'll did just that. I took an old corncob pipe and removed the old bowl and attached it to the new one. Now I'm just as happy as ever....

Incredible smoke!
It’s is a perfect everyday smoke. It is lighter than the plaster filled pipes. Shows not scratches , these are natural cobs. Not hand made, made by nature! The price is incredible for the quality you get. If you ever buy one pipe that will last for years, this is it. I have pipes that are 30 years old and smoke incredible.

Missouri Pride Bent
I have been choosing these over the Legend due to the black plastic stem being more resistant to me biting too hard and crushing the amber stems (I don't usually use with a filter anyway . I like both; easy break-in, good everyday pipes. ( It does seem odd that I almost never break one but every time I have an expensive pipe, about as soon as I have it being my best tasting favorite, I bend across a table or something with it in my pocket and hear a heartbreaking snap as it breaks in half.) Oh, I am glad to see today that Pipes&Cigars is now offering $0.79 replacement stems of both types. I've put some on my wish list & will be ordering them with my next tobacco purchase. Thanks.

Fine little cob pipe. I'm fortunate to be able to smoke at my worksite so it's a perfect fit. Only drawback, which I feel I bear full responsibility, is the bowl. Great value!
Great value for the money, I’m new to pipe smoking so take this with a grain of salt. Really enjoy this pipe, it smokes easily and is very comfortable to clench. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the rough finish but that’s a minor thing in the grand scheme. Overall very satisfied and would definitely recommend to someone wanting to try it out.

Corn Cob
I left it in my truck and the stem for the mouth piece dried out. So when I got home I dipped the wooden stem in my palm full of water for 10 seconds. After that the stem and mouth piece never had an issue. It’s Arizona here and everything dries out in a 140-160 degree car. So if your stems get loose, dip it in water for 10 seconds to rehydrate it. I now do it to all my corn cobs and I’ve never had an issue again. I absolutely love corn cobs and they smoke better than my briars for sure.

Great Tester
These inexpensive pipes are a great piece of equipment for testing a blend or occasional use. The plastic bit can get chomped through after a while, and the bottom of the cob is soft, but for the price, it really can't be beat. I'll be buying more of these if I wear out the ones I just bought.

One of my go-to pipes
The bowl on this pipe is a bit deeper than some Missouri Meerschaums, which I like all Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipes I’ve tried, it’s lightweight, burns cool, and is a workhorse! A great value. I’ve bought two more of the same pipe already, so when I eventually need them I’ll have them!

Great pipes, but I burn them out
I smoke mine too fast, and all my MM cobs tend to come loose at the stem/bowl joint because of the heat. Otherwise, I love these: easy to smoke, take 6mm filters, and incredibly affordable. I use a different one for each aromatic blend.

Looks really good when I got it
It's a good pipe but the only bad factor of it is the filter wore out quick so now I don't have one as it got wet and didn't work after it fell apart. If I had replacements it would be perfect but I'm dealing with it as it is. All in all besides the filter it's a great pipe.

Smokes as well as the expensive pipes
Occasionally I buy a corn cob pipe when testing a new type of tobacco. This time I was testing some mint tobaccos and was afraid that they would be strong enough to ghost a more expensive pipe. I always forget how well these pipes are constructed. With the large airway, they always have a smooth dry draw. And they're consistently high quality - I don't think I've ever had a bad one. They actually smoke better than some of my more expensive pipes and I usually continue to use one for long after the testing has stopped. They're also nice and lightweight compared to regular pipes - If the bowl had a somewhat-higher quality look, I'd probably use them on a more regular basis. Love these pipes!

Good first pipe
Great for a first pipe. No need to build a cake, pack and smoke. For the price you really can't complain. Picked up a few other pipes after but will keep this one in my rotation. The mouth piece is very soft so it leaves bite marks but again for the price it's well worth it.

A Great Smoker
These cob pipes cannot be beat. They smoke dry and cool, great for burley blends. These hold just the right amount of tobacco for a enjoyable smoke. I have several different models but prefer the unfinished cob, nice but rustic.
5 out of 5
Great smoker
I don't know just I expected, but it wasn't this. Smokes cool and easy from first to last. Great for work. The cob texture makes for a good grip. Sturdy construction, yet light and easy for clenching. Inexpensive enough that I'm not worried about what if I drop it. I plan on buying several more to keep around for taste testing and general abuse around the shop.

This cobb provides an inexpensive and cool smoke. My only complaint is the bowl size is just slightly too small. I use this outside of the home, it travels easily and if lost, or damaged it is easy to replace.

Great quality, low price = good smoke.
How can you go wrong for so little $$$? These are well made, great smoking, sweet and cool with any leaf, regardless of size. The bowles of the plastered ones heat up a little more. I prefer the naturals and always remove the filters. A couple have needed the pipe mud treatment, but it has not been a rule. Once the foul wood burning break-in is over (5 or 6 smokes) these smoke as well, in some cases, better than some of my good briars. This goes for all MM's. If you don't like the rough, rustic feel, spend a few minutes work with #220 grit wet/dry sandpaper and smooth the bowl.. Swab the bowl with a paper towel to prevent cake build up and enjoy a fantastic smoke with your favorite leaf. These handle all styles of tobacco with great results and little fuss. I have yet to have a burnout after years of use.
5 out of 5
Great smokes.
Every MM cob I have smoked has been a cool sweet, honest smoke. The plastered ones are heavier, and seem to smoke a litte hotter. I prefer the naturals, and I always remove the filers, if they are there. If you are put off by the rough feel, 10 minutes with #220 sandpaper smooths them out to a nice feel. Cripes, they're only $4 to $10 pipes. I find myself smoking these as much as my good briars, sometimes more. With proper care, they last a long time. I have yet to have the dreaded burn out. SO......endure the 5 or 6 wood burning break-in smokes, keep them clean, and enjoy a great smoke for practically no $$$.
5 out of 5
Great, smooth smokers
One of my favorite pipes. Smokes cool and sweet after half dozen horrible, foul tasting smokes. Stick with it. Once the wooden shank burns off it will be a great pipe. I usually smokend it a couple times following the instructions for break in, then put a dab of honey alongside the charred shank, let it sit a few hours and after a couple more bowls it's great. These are fine smoking pipes, and with proper care, the two last a long time. Read up on the specifics. Personally I prefer the plain (unfinished) cobs. They seem to burn much cooler. Have fun and enjoy.

Best Quality For Your Buck!
I cannot believe the quality of this pipe for under $5. It is rough and before ordering I thought that would turn me off but I ordered it anyways because of the low price. Once I got it, I actually thoroughly enjoy the texture of it in my hand. It's definitely a smaller bowl. I get about 40 minute smokes out of it, which is good for when I don't want to invest more time than that. I also love that it takes the filters. I put the 6mm Medico ones in mine. Next order I will probably get a multi-pack of these pipes. They are also great to keep extras around for when friends come over and want to try smoking. You are only out a few bucks to let them have their very own pipe.

Basic MM
This is your basic mid sized bowl, rough cob MM. Mine came unplastered. As with all of the filtered models the draw is a bit insufficient IMO, so I always remove the filter. The stem enters somewhat higher on the bowl for straight vs bent models, so the bottom doesn't mud as well as my bent Washington. However it's a very light model, stays cooler in the hand given its light weight and the open cob, and works well as a "doing chores" pipe. For the price they're hard to beat.
5 out of 5
Great little corncob pipe
If you have never had a corncob pipe, this is a good place to start. With a corncob, you will get the clear, plain taste of the tobacco. The porousness of the cob will minimize any excess moisture, so it is excellent for trying out aromatics. If you smoke slowly, your corncob pipe will last a long time, and give you years of pleasure.
5 out of 5
BUY THESE IF YOU ARE NEW
Great little pipe. The smoke is great for the price. I would buy many of these over again. I'm wasn't a fan of the corncob look but it grows on you. They're cheat enough you could buy one for each tobacco. I've picked up one specifically for Frog Morton's Cellar and St. James flake and they're a fantastic smoke. The bowl isn't too big to where you'll be spending 45+ minutes per bowl depending on how you smoke. I try and go slow and usually end right at 45 minutes if I'm edging the smoke along and tend to relight from going so slow.

Glad I tried the Corn Cob and selected a Missouri Pride!
First Corn Cob, very surprised, is a great smoker with good draw and circulation even with a paper filter. Handles the heat well, but smoked patiently it reflects good balance. Used Virginia Gold Vanilla with it right off the start since it is a well balanced moisture tobacco with steady burn and few relights, even when slow pace smoking. Highly suggest smokers try these as a change from the frequent Briar pipes. The variation makes me appreciate Briar and Corn Cob all the more!

Cheap Unfinished Med Bowl Corn Cob
Bowl cracked after awhile but has not penetrated to the inside - yet, after several months. This is the corn cob with the unfinished bowl. The black bit has a tendency to go soft where you bite it and leave teeth marks and a squashed area and I'm not even trying.
5 out of 5
Great pipe
I've been smoking the life out of this thing since it came. Will be buying several more. Also, I have found the amber stems to be a bit stronger than the black ones. If you clench with an iron jaw the way I do, I'd go with the amber stems. They darken quickly with use.

First Pipe
Well, actually my second - I smoked a pipe briefly in college - a nice briar called 'The Yachtsman' that I picked up at The Tinderbox. Then cigars for decades. I wanted a pipe to take camping/backpacking so I ordered this, and I like it a lot. It's lightweight, smokes well, and just 'fits in' for a smoke in the backcountry at 10,000 feet - in the mornings when I'm waiting for my gear to dry or in the evening after dinner. And if I break it, no worries at that price point. It packs well wrapped in a bandana and dropped into a plastic Cristal Lite container. It's natural finish 'picks' on fleece but that's just a minor thing. Don't regret the purchase at all. Cheers!

Missouri Meerschaum makes the quintessential cob pipe. This pipe is sturdy with good solid construction. Great for trying a new blend without any ghost flavor. I always recommend MM pipes to anyone from a seasoned smoker to a first timer. Can't go wrong

A Great Little Pipe
Very enjoyable lightweight pipe. Smokes cool and as I said very light to hold in your mouth.

corn cobs
My husband likes only unvarnished corncob pipes. He wants straight stems and small bowls. You have the exact pipes that he likes and they are very hard to find. Thank you.

Buy em in bulk!
You can't go wrong with the price! I like to stock up on a bunch of these pipes and use them to try out new blends. At this price you can stash them all over your house and car so you are never without a pipe. Perfect pipe for fishing. If it falls in the water and is ruined at least it wasn't a expensive pipe.

Typical Good Missouri Meerschaum Quality !
As usual the MM is a good quality corn cob pipe! This pipe smokes as good as any other pipe I have CC or briar! Can't beat the quality at this price. I have MM cobs stashed all over the place, vehicles, office, hunting pack. ...... so I never get caught without a pipe!

This is a great deal
I have used these pipes for a long time and am quite happy with them. I rotate them with 10 or so others so they dry out well between usages. My only suggestion is that the stems be made a little more sturdy as my bite crushes them. If you want a reasonable pipe at a reasonable cost this is a winner.

Really good pipes
I've used this brand of pipes for 20+ years and they are the coolest and easiest to break in of any pipe I've used!!! MHP

Great
A great lightweight pipe that hangs nicely. You get poked by some bits of cob fiber when you hold it, but a couple of minutes with a knife can fix that. It gives a really nice smoke.

First Corn Cob, not dissapointed.
I bought this to give "Out of Office - Gone Fishin'" a try. So far, half way through the tin has been a cool smoke, but today....I realized that the bottom of the pipe in a spot "covered by a sticker of course" is soggy. This is my first corn cob, so didn't expect it. Don't know if it will hold up and dry out or what will happen. Overall, happy for the price and to have my first cob.

Great pipe!
Don't misunderstand this review... I gave this pipe a 5-star rating. Those 5 stars are based on evaluating this CORN COB pipe compared to other CORN COB pipes. I received this pipe today and immediately filled it with some (also) new Captain Black Gold (one of my favorite "anytime" tobaccos). It smoked perfectly. Obviously no gurgling; didn't have to re-light; didn't have to re-pack, etc. Absolutely a wonderful smoke. I will purchase more of these pipes to have on hand. Also worth mentioning... because this is a "natural" cob pipe (no varnish or anything on the outside) there was a wonderful aroma from the pipe itself after I was finished with the bowl. Very enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite pipes. Cheap and an absolute pleasure to smoke my favorite tobacco out of.

Who knew corn was so awesome!
I love this pipe. It's simple, has great temperature control, doesn't get hot in my hand.

Very nice.
Tried one of these to see if I would enjoy a pipe before buying a "expensive" briar. Enjoy this pipe, gives a very nice smoke. No need to be ashamed of this beauty.

Fair for a fair combo
inexpensive pipe which was what I was aiming far. Am a seasoned cigar Maven and wanted to see if I can get into pipes. The Tobacco has been ok but need more time with both in order to make a more valid opinion.

I love Pipes and Cigars and I love Missouri Meerschaum
First, Pipes and Cigars is my go to tobacco shop. I love the people if I have a problem they make me fill like they are truly concerned and always fix my problem quickly. Missouri Meerschaum is my pipes of choice. I am not the most graceful of guys and live on a small farm. I started smoking corn cobs because I was losing or breaking my pipes on the farm ( you run over a 200 dollar pipe with you tractor and you will look for a cheaper way.) But if you use just any old corn cob pipe you don't get a pipe that will stay together. Missouri Missouri Meerschaum are great pipes they smoke very very well. I like the light weight and the styles I keep a few news one around to give to my new friends who may have smoked in the past or like cigars but have never tried a pipe. I will say for me a Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe smoker all the way.

Customer Testimonials
My favorite MM pipe (though my only other one has been a Country Gentleman). Very lightweight and it has an awesome look. Can't beat it for the price!

Five stars! This pipe is great. Makes for an excellent smoke with an even better price tag. I have one in my camping gear, and in my collection at home. Whether you are kayaking down the river, or home on your porch, this pipe will surely bring you a great smoke and many pleasant memories.

This is my first pipe and I'm quite pleased with it. Not a fan of the rough feel to the bowl so I'll probably go with wood next time but that's just personal preference. Pipe is just fine.

These are a must-have, and not just for newbies or people looking for a neutral taste. These are the perfect semi-disposable, yet respectable, pipes. Rotate 3 or 4 and take em everywhere you'd be worried about your expensive briars- at work or the big game, the local bar or even the beach. In fact, they're absolutely essential (imho) for ANY outdoorsy stuff like camping, boating, fishing, or hunting. Or even walking the dog. Heck, the list is endless and the first decision I have to make when I smoke is whether or not to use a cob. These MO Prides smoke great (if a bit hot), are light as a feather, and take a beating without missing a beat.

Ordered this along with the Pony Express and Eaton. I like this one the best. Smokes easily and stays cool. Ranks on par with my Legend.
RP of Haltom City, TX
Great pipe and smokes cooly because of no laquer finish.
AR of Mission Viejo, CA
I love this cob it's just the right size for me. The tobacco burns cool and even in this pipe. The pipe it self can get a little warm if you smoke it to fast.
